Where to do Cruise Meet on the Dream? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Quick question- can anyone recommend a good location to do the meet up for our cruise meet group on embarkation day (which is FRIDAY!!

)? Most of our group seem to be first timers (including me!) so none of knows where the good spots for this are.

I am reading that 3pm is a good time for this so its done before muster drill etc but where?

Will be adults and kids so no adult only areas.

Our group met at the Vista Cafe on Deck 4. Worked well for us!

Thanks! I was just looking around on the DCL site and thought that looked like a good option- glad to know at least one other group has used it!

We met just outside D-Lounge and went into the art gallery to take some group shots...

I think meeting here, or inside, is much better than the Vista Cafe, which is a much smaller, open area. We tried it on our last cruise and we just had too many people. An inside lounge would have been better.

Can I ask approximately how many people you had in your meet that overflowed the Vista Cafe?

We also used the Vista Cafe. I looked at our photos and I think we had about 50-60 people at our meet. The cafe area is small, but there is a couch and chair area adjacent which may still be part of it. I thought it worked well, as that area was pretty empty at the time (3:00 on the first afternoon). My DD was playing with another DD below us on the main floor of the atrium, and aside from 2 CMs and the occasional family boarding, it was empty as well.

We did the D-lounge and had it to ourselves at 3pm on embarkation day. There was plenty of seating and a stage area that worked well for our group shot.

We did the Bon Voyage on our last cruise and plan on doing it for our September Cruise. It depends on the size of group, but it worked perfect last time.

If you have a chance is 687 and any of the district area open at 3pm during departure? Is/was it crowded? Have fun tomorrow on your trip!

We did Vista Cafe with a smallish group (20ish) and it worked great. It certainly wouldn't hold some of the crowds we've had in the past, that's for sure!
