Towels at pools? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Do the resorts provide towels at the pools? I've never paid attention on my previous 3 trips b/c we always brought our own towels. Thx

They do at the deluxe and moderate resorts, but not at the value resorts. The deluxe resorts have towels at all the pools, both feature and "quiet" pools. The moderates have them at the feature pools, but usually not at the quiet pools. I say usually because during our last trip in May, we found towels at the quiet pool at CSR. But during prior trips, I had not seen towels at the quiet pools.

Thx. We leave in 11 days and DW is trying to decide what to pack. We drive so we're trying to lighten our load. We'll be at AKL and POFQ so we should be good. It's our first stay at moderates and deluxe.

Yep, both resorts will have towels at the pools. POFQ only has the main feature pool, but you can walk over and use the pool at POR if you want. This is one of the few cases where "pool hopping" is allowed, and it's because POFQ and POR are sister resorts. I've never stayed at AKL (it's on my bucket list, though), but I have stayed at all 4 moderates and POFQ is my favorite.

Actually ASMu does have pool towels. However, it is the only VALUE with towels at the pool. All MOD and DELUXE resorts have pool towels.

Mods only have towels at the main pool; if you use the quiet pools, you need to bring them from your room or go over to the main pool to get some.

At the values just call mousekeeping and they will bring more. You take your room towels to the pool. No need to ever pack them.

I stayed at the POP and a couple times I needed extra towels. I simply asked for them at the front desk, and they handed me a stack of them. You may be able to so the same thing at the other value resorts.
