Solo. Again!
This will be my second solo trip in 2 years. Just wanted to comfort those who are afraid to go alone. I LOVED it last year. I did what I wanted, ate where I wanted, I actually rode NO coasters. I took my sweet time doing whatever I wanted. I have a DH and 2 DD's (one in high school and one in college). None of them wanted to go. So, I booked today for Dec 10. SO excited!! Looking forward to doing what I want, when I want!

I am so so so excited for my first solo trip in Sept!!! On past trips with the family, I have always found a little time to go off on my own for a few hours here and there and they were so very enjoyable and relaxing! I knew a few years ago that I was set on planning a solo trip for myself. I am really looking forward to doing things I want to do, waking up early and getting ready and not having to wait on anyone else. I am a morning person.. in WDW I am up at 6am and out the door by 7am to start my day so this is going to be very nice!

awesome :)
Wow good for you! I have been on two (partially) solo trips (DH was there for part of them). As a teacher I have alot more free time than my DH to do trips so hoping I can work up the courage to go solo again next year...
Sounds like you will have a blast! Have fun!!!

Of my 5 previous trips to WDW ('97-'01), one-and-a-half were solo. When I traveled with others, they were too concerned with seeing other parts of Florida, or beaches or Universal, etc. One person even stayed in the hotel room for 2 days watching football. I mean really? He couldn't even go to ESPN Club? Whatever!! I have found that my best trips to WDW are when I go with just myself. My next solo trip is in 3 weeks, and I can't wait!!!

We have a few things in common, including the ages of our sons. The guys are perfectly able to fend for themselves for a few days. Looking forward to a little "me" time.

I love posts like this because I have my first solo trip coming in December. I'm not afraid to travel solo- Ive been known to go to movies by myself and out to eat by myself.
I guess I'm more worried about feeling lonely since all my other trips have been with family. I still want to try it though. |

My first solo trip is September 2013. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long. The only part that I'm not looking forward to is eating alone. But I'll get used to it!

Awesome. I wish I had the courage to go solo but I 'd miss my mom too much since it has been a Mother Daughter trip since HS graduation...., but these days things don't feel the same like they were a few years ago. but i don't know.

I went last year by myself and it was a lot of fun! Different, of course - but very fun. Go do whatever you want to do, see whatever you want to see, nap whenever you want to nap.

I cannot wait. I'm not sure what I want to do this time that I may have forgotten last time. One of my favorite things, and I discovered this while on a family trip, is to walk around DHS near closing time. It is deserted around the lagoon with the dinosaur. It has become a bit of a tradition for me just to sit on a bench there and take it all in..."I'm in Disney"...
I found a spot on Main Street USA that I didn't know existed until last year. It's on the right if you are going towards the castle. There is a shop (can't remember the name), and beside it is an alley. If you walk down the alley, there is a little sitting area with about 4 tables. The things you discover when you aren't rushing around trying to get all the attractions in! |
