Morning all
Thanks Nan it's crazy scray how fast they grew up. I swear Levi just went to middle school yesterday. Everyone says how fast the next 4 go........ in 3 years I'll have 2 high schoolers that thought is wrong! so today's schedule is screwy Eric can't decide if he want's to stay at school or not after assembly. I'll go over for that then 2 quick errands and home to clean and start food. Just realized in all the hustle of last night the beans never got put in to soak! Hope you have a great day Rebecca. Nan trips getting closer wish I was going

Eric decided to stay at school which I'm glad he did but selfishly would have loved having him all to me today.
errands are done and potatoes are cooking need to through the meatballs and mini dogs in the crockpots and finish the mac salad then other than finishing up the beans tonight I'm done cooking. |

The day went very well- the only crazy thing was a 45 minute discussion over a resolution (which mean we are not bound to it) that says a task for on creation care should encourage churches to practice creation care. I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. I mean I thought it was perfectly reasonable but some people were upset by the wording of the reasons for practicing creation care- I guess I am just not that into politics especially in the church.

what is creation care?? never heard that term I"m Baptist is that makes a differents - pm me if you want since we aren't suppose to talk about politics or churches here (seems to help keep the peace since that is 2 things that set people off - if they could just add boys in the women's bathroom, line cutting & tour groups to the list things would be very peaceful)

I don't think that explaining creation care should be a problem. In the Methodist Church the official term for environmentalism or going green is creation care (caring for God's creation). The Methodist Church has a democratic system- everyone is elected to higher positions and boards or councils and we use a representative body to make church decisions (we have been having our annual decision meeting over the last few days for the Florida Annual Conference of the church).
Basically there were a list of about 10 reasons why the group felt we should practice creation care and some people didn't think we needed that many and only wanted to have about 4 reasons why we should practice it. The leader of the task force was fine with deleting some of the reasons why as He was concerned about the outcome- that we do some creation care- rather than the reasoning behind why.
