A few years back, the living statues could always be found in the France Pavilion at Epcot, but now I believe they have street performers that are there throughout the day balancing on high stacks of chairs....?
I'm just wondering if the living statues might be found elsewhere in Epcot these days? My DH and I are going in September and I was informed that they are one of his favorite things to see at WDW! Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

The living statues have been gone for many years. You can see Divine at the Animal Kingdom, which is a similar performance art type thing (she is like a living vine on stilts - very cool).

There is currently some living statue preformers at Downtown Disney that preform at night in front of the old BET building at Pleasure Island

I could be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure the statues were in the Italian pavillion the last time we saw them, I think in 2008? Not sure if they are still performing though.

I did not know that, just knew they were gone from Epcot. And as the PP mentioned, they were in Italy when we had seen them @ Epcot.

I've always thought that it was a great loss to Epcot, when the Living Statues stopped appearing. I think pretty much everyone enjoyed watching them.

Gone from Epcot but saw some in downtown Disney at night this past February - 2012. I think there were two and they came out at different times. Look for them at night near the old comedy place in what used to be pleasure island area.

They were in Italy, and they were FANTASTIC!! I wish Disney would bring back the Living Statues to Epcot.

I bet it was tough to keep the white make-up from running in the direct FL sun. Or did they just perform at night?
I saw a scarecrow in PI our last trip and he was great. |

Thank you all so much for the info.
That is a TOTAL bummer! I can't believe they don't have them at Epcot any more. That is such a great loss and my DH is going to be so disappointed. We probably won't make it to DtD to see the ones there, since we'll only be there for 4 days. Bummerooski.

On our recent trip to EPCOT we were looking for them on the schedule in front of Italy but they were nowhere to be found. A shame that this very entertaining event has been taken away.

To me, this was such a perfect fit for Epcot. A little bit of culture and a little bit of magic!
