We have stayed in the DLH a few times. I love the upper levels to me even a parking lot view is fun. I think it is because of where I am when I stay there.

Sorry it's been a little while! I've been swamped with school work! Well when I last left off the DF and I were done with our day of hotel touring and we were wiped out. We went to bed and I tossed and turned for a good part of the night. We had really loud neighbors and there were kids running around or something outside of our window. But finally I fell fast asleep and the alarm to wake up finally rang.
I woke up first to get ready and DF slept in a while longer. It was 6am and we wanted to be at the parks by 7:30. DF woke up at about 6:45 and hopped in the shower while I went and got us breakfast from the lobby. I had a coffee and blueberry muffin and I got him an orange juice with cinnamon roll and blueberry and chocolate muffin. We left the hotel at around 7:10 and walked to the parks! We got there about 7:45am and got our bag checked and went to wait in line! From what I saw, the parks didn't look like they were going to be crowded, but that wasn't the case later on. I didn't realize that spring break was still going on at this point. But to me it really wasn't all that bad, I'm not sure if it's just because I haven't been in forever and nothing was going to get me down or what but the crowds didn't bother me at all this time around. Sweet! The standard "first picture" ![]() ![]() YAYYY WE ARE HERE! I wish that were the case right this minute! Annnnd the standard second picture. ![]() Walkin' down Mainstreet USA! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Where's the crowd? ![]() ![]() There they are, I guess they moved rope drop more forward, which is nice because you are now able to stroll down main street. ![]() ![]() I noticed the Matterhorn looks like it has a new fresh coat of paint! I can't wait to ride it when it opens back up, all brand new! ![]() ![]() And finally the announcer told us we could go enjoy the parks, so DF and I followed the lesser of the masses and headed to Indy for FP's. ![]() I waited here while DF went and grabbed them, the line for Indy was sticking out all the way to Jungle Cruise already! ![]() We decided not to ride because of the line, so we walked out into a nearly empty NOS and head towards BTMRR! This is my favorite ride so what a perfect one to start with! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ba-a-a-a-a-aaaah! ![]() ![]() And by this time it was almost ready for us to get more FP's, so we headed right to Space to get our next round. We debated riding the new Star Tours today but since we were short on time we decided to save it for next time. Motion rides give me a headache, but I put up with it for Soarin' because it is his favorite, I just close my eyes and enjoy the breeze. ![]() ![]() ---Continued on Next Post---

A very sunny day, weather was PERFECT by the way!!! ![]() ![]() We grabbed some FP's and hopped in line, which was only 25 minutes still. ![]() Matterhorn and all it's bandaids! ![]() ![]() After Space we decided to head back over to the left side of the parks (yes we create lots of walking for ourselves!) and we rode POTC. I was looking forward to this ride because I got the Nikon s8200 (advertized for not needing flash because it works well in low light) and I wanted to get some great shots of the ride. Well I really needed to play with the settings because the one I used it didn't work very well when the ride was moving. Anyway, this is the best of what I got of POTC. ![]() Next we decided to go to the Haunted Mansion. This was the first and only time we rode this this trip, because the line got insanely long and we just had a lot of other stuff to cram in to the day. ![]() ![]() Never really noticed this. ![]() ![]() When candle light flickers.... where the air... is deathly still! ![]() ![]() Kinda cool shot! ![]() Next we decided to grab FP's for Splash, but when we got there the line was crazy long so we just went to use the ones we had for Indiana Jones! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We went and grabbed another set of FP's for Space and headed out to DCA to get in line for TSMM. It was about 10:30 at this point, I love the morning rush! ![]() I am sooo excited to see the final result of the entry way and Carsland and all of the other DCA progress. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love this area. ![]() ---Continued on Next Post---

The Little Mermaid! We had yet to ride this so we were excited to ride. Yes, he even gets excited too. He loves riding new rides with me no matter what they are. ![]() ![]() ![]() I made a quick stop to get Screamin' FP's and he saw the wait time for TSMM and decided he didn't want to ride. I put up with this one for him also but it gives me a headache. It is at the top of his favorite list so I felt bad but he assured me he didn't want to ride. ![]() At this point we were starving so we walked over to Corn Dog Castle. ![]() It was still only about 10:40 at this point so we had a little time to kill before it opened for lunch, so we went to ride something we hadn't ridden before, Silly Symphony Swings! ![]() ![]() Love this pic, I wish I knew her so she could have it! She looks like she is having so much fun! ![]() We liked the ride, he thought he was going to get sick on it from spinning in circles but it didn't. He loved the view and we vowed next time we would get outer seats to be able to see better. ![]() And finally, time for some fooood! We decided to share a corn dog so we could get something else in an hour or two because I wanted an ice cream sunday! ![]() We ordered the regular corn dog with a side of apples and a Coke to drink. It was soo yummy! ![]() ![]() Next we rode the Little Mermaid! The line was 5 minutes at the most. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Loved it!! Next we went to ride Screamin'! and headed back toward the entrance for some Soarin' FP's and go back to DL. We did a lot of these hops back and fourth. ![]() At this point the park was getting to be very crowded. I snapped a quick picture of this when we headed back to BTMRR to grab FP's for it. ![]() We were hungry again already so we decided to get out of the crowd for a bit and grab a sundae from The Golden Horseshoe, another first. We had never even been inside so ordering was a bit confusing, and there was nowhere to sit! These guys were pretty funny though, I would have liked to stay and watch if we could have sat somewhere! ![]() After we got our sundae we headed to the NOS breakfast restaurant and found a seat there. We got a ton of compliments about how good our sundae looked! ![]() I didn't get a pic so here is one I found on Google. I know I'm a cheater. ![]() ![]() Annd that is 25 pictures. I must get started on my final project for school now but I won't wait so long to update next time! Hopefully everyone is enjoying this TR and I hope to find time to enjoy more of yours! Thank you so much for reading.

![]() Yeah that definitely helps! I really loved the DLH but I love the beach feel of the PPH and the view of the theme park from that room at the GCH is just amazing! But I agree I just love being there, the hotel doesn't matter tooo much.

Great update
I had to do a double take when I saw the haunted Mansion as it has been so long since I have seen it without the holiday overlay! I love it either way......it always has and will remain my favourite. And I don't think too many people at all notice the weather vane! We are also looking forward to The Little Mermaid as it wasn't completed last time we were there. And yes, finally finished the trip report and have in fact started a PTR! Should be lots of fun to count down with everyone Will keep my eyes peeled for the next instalment

I remember the first time my DF saw the HM without the overlay. We had already been a few times by then and it was so cool to show him something he hadn't seen before. I love the overlay but I like the original a lot better. I'll be posting again very soon!

Ok when I left off last we were chowing down a yummy ice cream sundae over in NOS. After we were done we decided to head over to Tomorrowland to use our FP's for Space! After that, we decided to relax a bit and ride the train.
![]() ![]() First stop, the Grand Canyon. ![]() ![]() "But it wasn't always that way..." ![]() And then the Main Street Station ![]() ![]() After we got to the NOS station we were bored of the train and decided to get off. We squeezed through the massive crowd that was Critter Country to get FP's for Splash Mountain. There was a long line, and I heard quite a few people say something about how it was the line for the ride. Woops!A cute little well outside Splash. ![]() I snapped a pic while we made our way out of that mess, FP's in hand. ![]() We decided to make our way back out of DL and go back to DCA. We had a few FP's to use and anything at DL was packed, it was about 3 by this time. ![]() I was headed for TOT to see if I could convince DF to ride it with me. Unfortunately, he refused. So I snapped two pics.![]() ![]() There was something going on past Aladdin so we couldn't go check anything out that way, so we just went back through Bugsland. ![]() ![]() ![]() We've never seen the show, It's Tough to be a Bug, so we decided to walk on in and check it out! Well I did, DF had no idea there was even a show here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ---The show was GREAT! We both loved it! We are not usually show-catchers, so this was our first indoor show, and we've only seen 2 fireworks shows (Holloween and R...DCT (haha check out THAT acronym ) and F! but nothing else. This definitely showed both of us that we really need to start checking out the shows more often. We want to see WOC -that's been more of a time restraint type thing, but we'll see it on our honeymoon- Aladdin, Tiki Room, more fireworks, parades, ect. Disney shows are definitely worth skipping out a few rides to watch. If you haven't seen It's Tough to be a Bug, you have to see it (although it can be scary for youngsters).---Anyway, next we went to the Blue Cellar to check out some of the new ideas, and got a little bit of a better view of how the Carsland Construction is coming along. ![]() ![]() Well... photobucket is refusing to work any longer so I'll end this here for now! Thanks for reading!

Well it's about time I wrap this Disneyland TR up, but first I have a little update for all of you! In case you missed it on my newly updated first post I just wanted to let you guys know that DF and I have decided to venture to a new land for our honeymoon, and we are going to Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii!! We just felt like we've been there so many times that there's not much we can do to make this trip stick out and feel like a honeymoon, so we priced out Aulani and it's within our budget and we are like 123784783 times more excited! So anyone know where that TR should be posted? I've looked but I haven't seen a section designated for Aulani yet, except for in the DVC thread but I'm not sure if that's where I should post it. Anyway... on to the Trip Report!
So when I last left off we were heading in to the Blue Sky Cellar. I love this building! It's so fun to look at all of the plans and little models of the new rides. I first went in there when the Little Mermaid ride was being built and got to saw how it was going to work, and now I got to see Carsland. ![]() pretty neat huh? ![]() This map is soo cool! Each of the rides show movement of the vehicles, like the coaster on Screamin', the two Carsland cars racing, the Grizzly boats, and the windows opening at TOT. It's fun to watch and I could have stood there forever. There is also a movie to watch about the improvements being made to the park and Carsland. It's a fun little room to hang out in. As we were heading out we found this little guy hanging out in the grape vines. ![]() ![]() So pretty! ![]() We were getting really hungry so we made our way out of DCA and off to a secret dinner DF wanted to take me to to celebrate my birthday. On the way I wanted to snap a picture of a poster I really loved. It was surrounded so I took this one first.. ![]() And was finally able to take this one! ![]() I love it! I put it in a silver and black frame to hang in my bathroom. I'm thinking about getting some glow in the dark paint and going over some of the signs with it. Wouldn't that be sweet??!! ![]() We rode Indy along the way using our FP's and then headed for the country. Here's a pic as we neared our destination, can you guess what we're having for dinner yet? ![]() ![]() Big Thunder Ranch BBQ! I've always told him how much I wanted to eat there but it was so expensive. He decided he wanted to take me here for my birthday even though the trip was already kinda for my birthday. I was so happy.... and hungry! ![]() ![]() The wait was about 30-45 minutes. By this time it was about 5pm so it was during the dinner rush. We hung out by the animals for a bit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally we were called (buzzed) and were sat! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures but we were to the far right of the stage and furthest toward the back, which was nice. Our waitress was flustered (maybe she was new?) and she even admitted to spitting on the table. I know the feeling of being new and embarrassed all to well so I tried my best to help her feel comfortable. I feel like any time my DF or I laughed she would see us and probably think we were laughing at her. Ah oh well, hopefully she's got the hang of things now. Anyway on to the food! I ordered an ice tea and DF got a lemonade. They were served in mason jars which I love! We are actually using mason jars as part of our centerpieces for the wedding. The food was great and they keep on bringing out buckets of it! He ate a lot and I tried to also so I wouldn't get hungry later and we could get the most of our money. After a bucket (or two) we were done and there was nooo room for dessert! Here's a pic off Google of the food. ![]() yummoooo! It was getting to be dark outside and after dinner we decided we wanted to ride Screamin' before it was shut down for the night for WOC, so I snapped a few pics on the way out to test out my no-flash camera! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() --------Continued on Next Post--------

As we headed toward Screamin', DF made a pit stop while I took pics of the area near GRR. I love this one! ![]() ![]() ![]() And then we headed toward Screamin'! ![]() We didn't get many pics of us on this trip because we were just trying to do everything. But I got this oneee! ![]() I love this area at night!! ![]() Speeding on by! ![]() We rode Soarin' using our FP's on the way out and wanted to use the rest of the FP's we collected for Disneyland. Bye California Adventure! Yes we seriously walked back and fourth that much. ![]() On the way to Splash we decided to jump in behind this bad boy. ![]() Thanks to the DIS I found that you can stand behind this and it raises up so you can see. This keeps the people away from this area. So we squeezed in and made ourselves comfortable (oh who am I kidding, we stood there with aching legs!) and waited for the show to start. Wellll I love this show soo much, but a family got in front of us and put their little girl on the dad's shoulders. I'm really short so I couldn't see a thing. After it started we just decided to leave and go ride some rides. We started with Splash (surprisingly, this area was not hard to walk through like it usually is. We got there pretty easily and it seemed like crowds were dying down. It was Sunday so maybe that made a difference. Next we rode BTMRR. Now this was such an amazing part of the night. Something so little can really make a lot of difference! We started riding and the fireworks started playing, we would turn a corner and BAM there's a firework. Everyone on the train was cheering and laughing and it was awesome! I'll remember that ride forever as one of the best. BTMRR is already one of my top faves but this made it much more special to me. It was hard to take pics but I did get this one. ![]() This was neat you could see all the smoke so it made this picture look all spooky. ![]() ![]() We decided to just walk around and snap some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We still had FP's for Space but we were getting really exhausted at this point, so we decided to call it a night and give those passes to another couple. It was pretty late at this point anyway. So we made our way out of the park. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We found a couple to give our passes to and they were so happy it felt like we made their night! We were so happy to have had a great day at Disneyland and were ready for bed. We made the long walk back to our hotel and crashed! Although it was only one day at Disneyland, it felt like longer because we had the hotel touring day before that. It was one of the best trips we've had! And now that we're not going for the honeymoon I'm not exactly sure when we'll be back, but probably sometime in October to see Space in it's ghostly form and finally see Carsland! But that could change we may sneak up there this summer! ![]() Hope you enjoyed it! I'll be posting after this about Aulani and our itinerary so I don't have to make a different PTR. I am so excited for this amazing trip in our life! Thanks again for reading. ![]() ![]()

And thank you! I really like my new camera. Sun set is my favorite part of the day and it's nice having a camera that doesn't need a lot of light to take a decent picture. It will be nice taking pictures with it at Aulani!
