(I haven't yet moved the 4 day December cruise from Galveston, LOL)

Now, they don't look so bad (in fact, they are cheaper than the 8 day River Cruise we have booked for July, and that doesn't include the DLP trip after). We'll be back in the US in 2014, so this will be our only chance for another Med, I think...

Hoping I will be posting soon that I am joining you!
*Hi K8T!!!!
Just looked and the price is exactly the same as we paid on day 1 of booking (adjusted for our ob booking discount) (we are gold members). We've booked an 11B, maybe it depends on which cabin you have booked? I did look at Royal Carribbean and the price comes out very close (well in sterling any way).

I just came on the boards to share the exact same news. Price for our 6A is exactly the same as day 1. I found some better deals on other lines but not enough to change our minds.

I am very anxious to start planning my pre-sail land adventure. I have to patiently wait for flight information. I don't know if it will be cheaper to fly into London, Paris, or Madrid. These prices will dictate where we will visit pre-cruise.

Another party for the roll call

Hi there, we are the Jackson family from the UK. We got back from Florida and a 4 night trip on the Dream last week and are booked for this cruise. We loved taking part in Fish Extender exchanges and hope this thread will be doing the same? A long time to wait but we are all very excited about our second (hopefully of many!) Disney cruises. My personal wish is for a double dip trip to Castaway Cay in 2014

Looking forward to hearing from everyone else. There were only about 8 staterooms showing as available for 10c and 10B - and our travel agent said there had been a lot of interest already.

Soooo close . . .

First, Welcome Wendy. Hey mommy_grrl, would love to welcome you on too.

Been looking at last minute quick cruises for DW and I ALONE!! Don't think it can happen. But, I can see some of these in the future. I was amazed how much more affordable it was when we could go off season, with just the 2 of us.

We just don't need to share how much time I spent at work on research. What a way to make me look forward to this cruise all the more. One of my co-workers left for a Med cruise today. He and his wife are going on the Oceana line. Their cruise will hit some of our ports and Greece. I told him to take really good notes. I'll share if he comes back with anything good.

I can hardly wait to see the water off the ship again. "mother, mother ocean, I can hear you call . . . " Oh, Jimmy Buffet take me to a new latitude and change my attitude!

Garak - did you see the news? All Starfleet captains are reporting to England for a get together and one of the conventions. Bring on another version!!!! This generation needs something like that.

Yes I did see the news about the Starfleet captains. It made me wish that my trip to Europe was this year! I am also ready for another series. In particular I miss Avery Brooks. Maybe Disney can get him to narrate the next Nature movie.

My guess is flying into London will not be the cheapest option as the government have introduced various additional taxes etc. that makes routes (particular long haul ones) more expensive. There is an increasing trend for us Brits to fly indirect to USA via Dublin or close European continent as it works out far cheaper & looks set to continue in that way.

Welcome Wendy

We've also enjoyed FE and hopefully we can get it organised for this cruise. I guess it is still too far out for anyone to be planning that yet?

Have a good cruise everybody!

I have decided to book our Med cruise with Celebrity instead of Disney - for the cost of a veranda and inside stateroom on Disney I am getting two aqua class cabins on Celebrity - and I think the food will be better. Have fun everyone!

Flying is a fickle thing. Believe it or not flying into London from Boston would be cheapest this summer. This was not expected, especially because of the Olympics. I hope this holds true next year. Not only is England high on my list but it is my only non-red eye option.

A non red-eye choice is always good! Luckily we only need a short hop next year, but because we want to use flyer miles, won't be able to book our flights until JAnuary after we've been to see friends in San Francisco and therefore have enough miles!

Hi everyone! We just booked this cruise the other day it will be our 6th cruise and our second Med cruise. Really looking forward to Venice and hopping that they offer the ABD add-on for Barcelona and the cruise. It will be me, my mom Nancy and my brother Matthew sailing all adults. Looking forward to getting to know everybody over the next 455 days.

Our family of 6 is booked and can't wait!!! We are definitely in for a fish extender, but as we are travelling from Canada, need to keep the # of gifts small - as we get more and more people interested, maybe we can divide into groups of 10 cabins or so?

This itinerary looks FASCINATING!!!! 15 months to go!

Welcome to all the newbies! We are off to WDW in July, once we are back from that I will start planning for the cruise. We did FE last year and it was great. Still think this thread is very quiet! If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them as last years itinerary was quite similar.

Welcome tinkerbell 29 and waltcanada.

Helen, it has been quiet, but we still have over 400 days to go. I wonder how full the ship is?

Still don't know about the flights yet. Thinking about booking those on our own instead of going through Disney.

I agree the thread is quiet, however I'm sure it'll liven up a bit once everyone gets this year's vacations out of the way! We did the FE last year on our 10 night Med and I think the suggestion to split the FE into groups of 10 or so is a great idea! This was done for us last year and it worked well - much less to pack and take with us, hopefully we can do this sort of arrangement again (our FE organiser from last year is infact on this sailing, they did a great job last time around )
