I've always said the most effective alarm clock would be the sound of a cat hacking a hairball at 3:00 am...NOTHING wakes you up like that!

Especially when said cat is sitting on you! (And yeah, I've been puked on in the wee hours of the morning when I didn't wake up fast enough to toss the cat off in time.)

I hope the guy realizes he can take that thing off the door and put it on the wall.

Yeah, that doorstop would be GONE after the second time the kitty tried that at our house! Our cat's new hobby is to sleep at the top of the stairs at night. I have to remember to turn on the light so I don't trip on her. Part of me thinks the cat took out a life insurance policy on me...

personally, i think the guys mean! he shouldnt have teased the cat under the door but opened the door and let him in! my cat bites my feet when she feels it time for me to wake up and pet her. My other cat just lays his entire fat body on my pillow and puts his butt on my head (and wags his tail in my face! ICK!

My cats have been waking me up at 5:30 lately (them birds chirping outside making them think it's morning). The two take it in shifts to come up and paw at me. It would be cute an hour later. Really it would.

Too funny! And I came to this thread believing that you'd have pictures of my cats here! The other morning, Scotty woke me at 6:00 am by using my rump as his scratching post. I slept well last night, after he and my husband had a pedi-paws session.

My older cat wakes us up at 5:30 every morning because he's hungry. He meows so loud that there's no way you can ignore him. We can't leave their food out all of the time because the younger cat eats it all and we're trying to get her weight down. Very annoying on a weekend morning.

That was so cute. My two tiger cats pounce on my back and head to wake me. The other two sit back and wait, most likely egging the tigers on while laughing.

That was cute. My cat doesn't wake me up but the minute he hears my alarm clock go off his is climbing all over me to be wanting to be pet.

I should put one of those on my sister's door so her cat can bother her at night! I have a cat door to my room for my cat, and my sister doesn't- her cat comes and wakes me up at all hours of the night then runs from my room to her room meowing until I get up and open the door for him.

Our cat does the same thing. As soon as the alarm goes off and she hears us talking, she's walking all over me.

She sleeps right by my feet and is otherwise quiet all night.
