Happy Saturday! The sun is shining and my bird friend was back at 6:30am!

Today:

Figure out what to do about this bird, 6:30 is waaay to early for a weekend morning.
Open Spring/Summer Activities swap for sign-ups.
Send DH on errands
Julia shopping for a semi dress for 8th grade farewell dance.
Mail 2 swaps
Sort letter swap
dinner?

I hope you figure out the bird - I like the fake owl idea

kids are growing up too fast - good luck on the dress, what I see in stores are alittle to sexy for 8th grader - unless you can still do the children section -- maybe an Easter dress is still around that would work

I'm looking for more Title ideas & working on getting there LOs - DH is working all week-end so Ishould get alot done (I hope)

Easter dress took 3 hours to find something appropriate. I am thinking this is going to be the first of many trips. Dress code still applies which makes me very happy as it cannot be strapless or too short! Julia is pretty good about knowing what is acceptable and what is off limits. Unfortunately we can no longer get away with childrens section, she has developed too many curves!

sorry the bird is still coming around....ok try one of those spinning windchimes they don't like anything shiny usually....oh I feel your pain about dress shopping have such a tough time finding appropriate dresses for Megan too and she's only in 6th grade.....last time we went dress shopping took most of a day, if you find something have them hold it for you so you can keep checking.....GOOD LUCK

get Megan's hair cut - she's not loving her hair right now , where I go to get my massage is also a salon so taking her there the owner/my mass therapist is going to look at her hair and we might thin it out some, getting so thich and unruly I'm even having problems combing it

Happy Saturday

Well my original plans for the day are shot! DH's van "dropped" it's transmission last night Luckliy he was close to home so we had it towed to "our" neighborhood mechanic. The mechanic called this morning and it will cost about $2,500 to fix and the van just isn't worth that (it's older and has several other issues). So apparently we are going car shopping. I'm hoping to find something "cheap, but in good condition" since a new vehicle was NOT in our budget. Wish me luck!!!!

Cassey--good luck with the dress shopping. I spent last Saturday trying to find Sarah a prom dress. We never found one so she is wearing a dress she already has.

Lisa--I hope you find a cute style for Megan's hair.

Sunny, warm and breezy here today. I've got the windows open and the kitties are loving it!

Good luck with the dress shopping. I'm sure it's hard to find something that is age appropriate. So many of the girls' clothes look like they are for the over 20 crowd.

I'm still waiting to hear about the new position at Michaels. Interviews ended about 10 days ago and now we are all just waiting to see if we get what we applied for.

My list for today:
Laundry
Clean bathrooms
Tidy living room
Dust living room
Vacuum entire house
Clean kitchen
Work on swaps
Relax!!!

I have a ton to do today in between soccer games (if they happen)...

B's team tied 3-3 this AM.. we got in a window of no rain for his entire game!! They did great..

They are getting ready to head back for the 2:15pm game but it's been storming for about 30 minutes and lightning.... I know the other U18 team (opposite one C plays on) is at warm ups but it's been lightning so my guess is they are in cars waiting to see if they'll have a game.. C has til 4:30pm so he knows...

Seems B's tmt is on a weather delay so anything can happen... delay, cancels, anything goes....

I hope to get a good bit of stuff done this evening... C had is 3/6 drives last night and got perfect scores on everything including parallel parking!


Ok, time to go make my list and start marking things off...

Cassey, good luck dress shopping. I can not stand what is in stores now for teen girls, DD #1 thankfully isnt into clothes that much and has her own "style" but yuck!

Lisa, DD#1 has to get her hair thinned out every 6 months or so, I need to get her in to get a haircut with some shape to it.

Cheryl, hopefully car shopping goes smoothly.

I dont have any real plans for the day, just hanging out.
DD #1 is on chore duty since she ignored me several times last night about doing them,
DD#2 is throwing up, not sure why, maybe something she ate yesterday, so I have a load of laundry to do

I think I will just hang out down here and scrap and cut things.

We are back from shopping, NO dress. There was one dress, but Julia thought it made her look too big. We will try the bigger mall tomorrow.
