This might have been covered, but I can't read the last page. I think it is very inconsiderate to criticize someone else without knowing why they made the decision.

How about this... the graduation ceremony is on Saturday. The majority of parties will be Saturday night. In order to be different and allow the graduate to have his friends at the party, plans are made for it to be on Sunday. Sunday happens to be Mother's Day. It doesn't make sense to me to have the party the following weekend (people probably wouldn't come up for the ceremony and a week later for a party).

Also, think about who the party is for. It's for the GRADUATE. Thinking back to when I graduated, I could care less whether my Aunts and Uncles were at the party (I just wanted them to send $$ ).

Also, graduating HS is a "once in a lifetime" event. Mothers Day will happen EVERY YEAR. Granted, things might change in a year, but I would put more importance on the graduation (depending on how close I was to the family) than Mothers Day.
