I agree that WPE is the best CS, but I also actually think it's better than some of the TS places! It's honestly unbelievable.

The Little Mermaid is another all time fave of mine too & I agree, I was SO mad when I found out that Flynn stopped doing meet & greets with Rapunzel! He still makes appearances at the MK parties, though, so at least there's that.

YES. I totally get what you mean. Right now, I am literally in tears because I want to be watching Wishes sooooo badly at this moment. But alas, I cannot.

I've never been in Apricot Lane, but I really wanna check it out now! Thanks for the tip.

Ahh thanks for the deer pic! And the shoutout!

Ahh WPE...so tempting!

Tangled is such a beautiful movie! Aladdin and Eugene are tied in my book. <33

Can't wait to hear about the Italians.
Hey Kristen! Ahh I know how you feel! I never watch Wishes online b/c I don't like to watch it anywhere but at Disney, but I cracked the other day and watched Wishes, The Magic, The Memories and You, and Fantasmic. I cried so much! I wish I was there so bad.

hahaha every single time I see a deer I think of you guys... it's unavoidable.

"Because this is Disney." There's literally no better answer for anything.

YES! But most of the time it's when I'm at home. You were lucky and it hit you when you were actually there... so you could actually go there when you physically needed to fulfill your deprivation.

Old Key West is absolutely my childhood. That's the place I stayed when I was beginning to finally comprehend Disney and begin my obsession. (I was in 2nd grade. Ahh... good times) I think I have ended up staying at Old Key West... 4 or 5 times? It's my parents' FAVORITE. Especially my Dad's. He's a big relaxation guy. (although, he did LOVE Bay Lake Tower... )

I LOVE THAT FAMILY ALBUM WALL. I have been intrigued by it my entire life. It's SUCH an adorable idea. Oh my God. The pictures are just so funny... it's amazing how Disney times have changed so fast.

Aww I didn't get to see that Christmas Tree at OKW but I'm glad you took pictures! It's SO pretty! The color scheme is like perfect.

Random Egg Plant. Why? BECAUSE THIS IS DISNEY!

Ahh that boat dock. That reminds me of that time I met that ADORABLE CM and talked to him forever and fell in love. Being a Disney Cast Member is like the key to my heart.

You know what's super weird? I NEVER go to the West Side of Downtown Disney. I think I have only gone there on one trip. We went a couple times to do Disney Quest and Cirque du Soliel... but it was all in the same trip. And that was a LONG time ago. I was in middle school. That area feels the least Disney like to me, I guess.

LEGO. DEER. OMG.

I'm literally cracking up at the thought of that drunk old guy right now.

And I'm seriously considering buying a Tangled play set for myself. But realistically, I want all of the play sets from every single Disney movie. Let's be real.
Thanks girl! I'm so obsessed with the look of DHS I just can't help myself. I hope my photos can capture the magic

"You were lucky and it hit you when you were actually there... so you could actually go there when you physically needed to fulfill your deprivation." haha SERIOUSLY though, I was so relieved that I could actually just go right over to DTD. It was such a relief. Usually I'm in my room crying instead. LOL.

I remember you telling me that about OKW. It's so cute that that's like your family place, I love it!

"Random Egg Plant. Why? BECAUSE THIS IS DISNEY!" EXACTLY!

You should go over there more. You're right, it's not super Disneyish except for a few of the Disney-themed stores and Disney Quest, but it's still fun. I would definitely go there all the time to hang out if I lived in the area. Sooo much awesome food and shopping! How did you like Cirque du Soliel? I've always wanted to see it but end up not booking it for whatever reason.

Of course I want the play sets too! hahaha But usually I just buy them for my cousins. SO at least they're in the family!

Wonderful update! I am so envious of your relaxing moments that morning! I try so hard to find little moments like that to relax at Disney, but they're kind of few and far between. I find it easiest to relax on a sunny bench in the WS (preferrably with some sort of liquid joy from Germany or France) or on the Peoplemover.

HAHA that little kid is hilarious. DUH, MOM. Everthing is acceptable at Disney, including random Dinosaurs.

O.M.G. Do you ever have one of those moments where someone says something that sums up your feelings so perfectly that you feel like that person literally lives in your brain? Well, that's how I feel about your needing to be somewhere in Disney down to your very core. That feeling hit me the other day right in the middle of work. I HAD to be riding PoTC or I was going to die. Thankfully I didn't die, because I was over 500 miles away from it, but that feeling was agonizing!

HAHAHA leaving World of Disney with bruises and 17 cents had be cracking up. That store is so overwhelming!

I totally understand your love for Tangled. That movie truly is perfect. I love it so much, and the scantily clad drunk man only makes it that much better! Plus, I love Pascal SO MUCH.

Another wonderful update!

HAHAHA I know. Like WHY is there a drunk old man hitting on Mother Gothel outside a bar? This is a Disney movie!

Agreed! I really wanna stay there now!

Here's a little teaser for you...my SQUIRREL story for my TR takes place at Downtown Disney.
The Mary Poppins ride... how cute! I do love the Mary Poppins and Peter Pan images on the side. We haven't gone on it either but I would love to!

I can't wait to hear all about that! hahaha

Hahaha, I LOVE Friends! Forgot about that episode. That's hilarious. Love the story about you and your friend prepping to get first row. Wow! You were one of the firsts to get to TSM. Go you! I've never been that close to the front. Sure, I've gotten there at rope drop but not that close. Awesome. Watching Friends does pay off.

I'll have to stop in the Writer's Shop. I actually haven't been in there for years. I know it's a sin. I'll go back in May!

It's fun taking the boat to DTD. I like it better than the bus there. BUT, what I like even more is walking there from SSR. I love that! I haven't gone to Apricot Lane yet. I'll go there in May too. I have lots of to dos for May after reading Dis trip reports!

Ugh! Just looking at the pictures make me want to be there now. Thanks for your humorous report. Can't wait for the next update!
I agree, it definitely makes me feel like a kid again!

I'm telling you, do the Joey lunges while waiting for the park to open and you WILL be one of the first people on TSM! It never fails!

I know what you mean, TRs are the main reason why I've been so many different places at WDW! I always make a note of little things like that as I'm reading them so I can remember to stop by when I'm actually there. Walking to DTD from SSR must be so awesome. I would love to stay there! It's such a pretty resort.

Aww thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Although the circumstances were sad (RIP Hula Timon) when you put Hula Timon 2011-2011 I thought that was THE funniest thing ever!! And the Joey, omgomgomg, AND I think the old drunk guy is hilarious too, when he gives the kiss at the end its slightly uncomfortable yet hilarious! Imagine a meet and greet with him haha! Looking forward to the rest of your trip report!!
Yes, the DIS has by far the best TRs! So many great writers here!

Thanks so much for the compliments, I'm happy you are enjoying my TR.

OMG I would DIE if they did drunk old man M&Gs at the parks. I can't even describe. That would make my LIFE.

Thanks for joining in!

"BECAUSE THIS IS DISNEY." Okay yall, we have a genius on our hands. He doesn't even realize how smart he is, that little guy. It's so true though!

I know what you mean! I teared up looking at pictures of Epcot the other day because I just FELT like I was there and I realized that I wasn't, and then I was sad. Sometimes it doesn't even feel real being at Disney and having this amazing place at your fingertips, like you have to remind yourself that you CAN do what you want! It's amazing!

I feel you on the lack of Tangled merch. What the mess is that? I just NEED them to make a Eugene "they just can't get my nose right!" shirt. NEED.
Yay, thanks! I'm totally obsessed with the Disney details. That's what it's all about.

Aww I totally know what you mean. Sometimes when I'm at WDW it's just so overwhelming and I can't even decide where I want to go or what I want to do. That's why it's so important to plan everything out well. But then again, so often we end up ditching our plans for whatever random thing transpires.

OMG YOU ARE A GENIUS. I will be first in line to buy that shirt! omg.

Ohhhh yes, I am familiar with this feeling! It happens to me all the time, reading TR's and seeing certain pictures of a place and all the sudden BAM! I need to be there, I can feel it physically in my body how much I want to be in Disney! It also happens in Disney, I try to come up with a plan for what we will do each day, but sometimes you wake up on what is supposed to be an Epcot day and you think "Wow, I HAVE to be in the Magic Kingdom today." It's crazy. I'm just glad there is a whole message board community full of Disney freaks who feel the same way!

OKW looks so pretty! If I'm ever brave enough to rent points, I might rent at OKW because you don't need 10 million points to stay there, and I'd love to stay in a one bedroom villa just to have a jacuzzi tub!

I LOVE Tangled so much! When I first saw it I thought, wow, this is my new favorite Disney movie. Everything about it is perfect! I love Eugene, he and Prince Naveen are my favorite Disney princes! And the drunk half naked guy! And the mime! And Maximus! They're all so fantastic!
Thanks so much!

haha yes, I almost never end up sticking to my certain park on certain days plans. I usually do if there's EMH at that certain park b/c I love EMH so much, but besides that we usually just end up going wherever we feel at that moment cause it's just so rare that you get to actually be there doing the stuff you dream about doing every day. Sigh... oh Disney, I miss you so much.

We'll probably rent points on our next trip. There are a lot of great people on here who have contracts & send you the confirmations they get from Disney. I was going to do it once, but then we had to postpone our trip. Blah. I hope I can find another good DVC member. And OMG YES I want a jacuzzi so bad!

hahahah DON'T FORGET PASCAL! I love that little guy.

I know, it's definitely hard to slow down, relax, and appreciate the little things at WDW, but if you allow yourself to do it, it's amazingly rewarding. Those moments always end up being some of my favorite on every trip. I agree, the WS and the Peoplemover are def two of the most relaxing places! I could stay there for hours.

Ahhh I'm so glad people knew what I was talking about when I mentioned the needing to be in a certain Disney spot right now. I love the DIS... all of you are just like me! haha

It really is! I have to control myself in there. It's wonderful... but deadly. LOL

I LOVE PASCAL!!!!

So cute!!

Day 3, Part 3 In Which I Meet The Man I'm Going To Marry

Before I go on with the report, some back story I did not include in previous chapters is necessary, so bare with me here.

For years, I had heard about all the can't miss Holiday events at WDW such as the Osborne lights, Candlelight Processional, Christmas party, etc. I had heard many times we ABSOLUTELY HAD to see the Candlelight Processional and that it was beautiful and emotional and amazing and all of that. I also heard that it was wise to purchase a CP dining package so that we could get priority seating, which was important because the CP is always very crowded and otherwise we'd end up in the back, standing and not able to see.

The CP package was pretty expensive when it came to certain restaurants, but research on the DIS and listening to the DIS unplugged podcast assured me it was 100% worth it-- Not only would you get a great meal at Epcot, you'd get prime seating for an incredible show. Sounds good to me.

Obviously, Le Cellier was sold out, so I wanted Le Chefs. Sold out. There were almost no openings anywhere. I had to keep switching days and times and the whole thing took forever. They kept suggesting Biergarten, and honestly I should have gone with that one given my love for Germany and the fact that it was one of the cheapest options, but I just had this idea in my head that we wouldn't be thrilled with the menu and the fact that you have to sit with other people (of course, it turns out we had to sit with other people at Ohana and loved it, so it would have been fine). Either of the Italian restaurants was my next choice, and they had almost no openings for the entire time we were visiting Disney, but finally found a place for lunch at Tutto Italia and the first showing of the CP on Dec 7, day 3 of our trip.

On day 2 of our trip, we walked by the Candlelight Processional and I noticed how it really didn't seem 100% necessary to have priority seating. We also saw the line to get in and I realized if we didn't mind waiting on line for awhile, there was really no need for the package. I would have just said oh who cares, we'll do the package anyway because YAY DISNEY FOOD, but I decided to call Disney and cancel because the price was $51.99 per person plus tax plus tip. For lunch. Ouuuch. I mean, I don't mind paying a lot for a great meal as long as I feel like I got my money's worth. I didn't know for sure that Tutto would be worth it. And I thought, I'd rather try that place sometime where we can just both get an entree to try the place out before spending over $100 there.

I hope I don't sound cheap, but there are just SO many other things you can spend $100 on at Disney World and I thought it was just too much. I discussed it with my mom and she agreed. So I called Disney Dining to cancel, thinking the cancellation policy was that you would not get charged as long as you canceled within 24 hours. Upon calling, the CM told me that the CP package policy is 48 hours, and the penalty is that you are charged THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE PACKAGE! I think that is insane. What if we had an emergency? I can understand a small charge, I know sometimes it's like $25 or something, but $100? That's ridiculous.

Obviously, I kept our reservation, taking it as a sign that we were going to LOVE Tutto and have an amazing time.

OK! So here we go, on with the report. We arrived at Tutto about 10 minutes late for our 2:00pm ADR. I approached the outdoor podium and was greeted by a female CM who told me that the restaurant was closed.

Oh.

What?

I explained to her that we had a Candlelight Processional Package reservation. She said, "Well, if you have a reservation it may be okay, but we're closed. Go in and see."

What?

It was so odd, not only because we had the reservation, but since when is Tutto Italia or any other Disney restaurant randomly closed?

We walked into the building up to the hostess who found our name immediately on the reservation list (it was a printed on a sheet of paper, not on the computer like normal ADRs) and welcomed us to Tutto Italia, saying we would be seated within minutes.

This restaurant was not closed. I have no idea what the CM outside was talking about. Perhaps her brain was a little mixed up from working with gorgeous Italian Cast Members all day. If you've ever seen the guys that work here, you'd know that you really can't blame a gal for getting a little confused.

My mom went to use the rest room while I sat and waited for our table. I peeked in the main dining room because it was important that I survey the restaurant for the hottest waiter so that I could will him to be our server with my mind.

There is a belief called "Magical Thinking". People who use Magical Thinking believe that they can make something happen simply by using their brain a certain way. It can be used in positive ways, like willing the hottest Italian man straight to you by visualizing your wedding, but some people fear Magical Thinking. These are the people that avoid cracks in the sidewalk because they think if they step on one, something bad may happen (Step on a crack, you'll break your mother's back!).

I thought I had found the hottest waiter. He was tall, dark, and oh so handsome. I was about to start using my immense brain power to make him our server when the guy next to him turned around to face me.

I literally gasped. He was just that perfect looking. I didn't know what to do. I looked around to see if anyone else had noticed this beautiful specimen but I was alone in my admiration. Immediately, I knew he had to be our waiter because that was simply the only way. I imagined him greeting me with "Buongiorno Princepessa!" and handing me a menu and perhaps a ring. Magical Thinking could not fail me this time!

Right after my mom came out of the rest room, the hostess escorted us to our table. Seconds later, our server came walking over.

Magical Thinking had once again not let me down.

It was him.

As I've said before, I don't normally have trouble talking to attractive guys but there is this force field of embarrassment I pass through when I enter the World Showcase that changes me. I giggled throughout our entire meal.

I think I was too stunned by the beauty of our server, because I have literally no pictures from Tutto and not many for the rest of the evening, but I stole some from Disney Food Blog so here ya go! (BTW, if you don't visit the Disney Food Blog daily, you are really missing out.)

The lobby/waiting area... love that painting.

Dining room... I wish I had taken a pic of our table b/c we were seated right by the window and it was lovely to look out and see Italy during our meal.

Our server/model brought bread, olive oil, and olives:

The olives were gone in seconds b/c they are one of my favorite foods. I love that you get them with the bread here. All Italian restaurants should do this in my opinion. The bread was very good, not the best, but very good nonetheless. I have to say though I think our bread selection was different from this pic. I can't remember. I think we had a thin, crispy bread as well (like the kind they have with the hummus at Boma).

Ah HA! This was what our bread basket actually looked like. I guess they have updated it. Halfway through the meal, we asked for more of the crispy bread and they happily brought an entirely new basket. LOL I love Italians.

With the CP package, each person gets a non-alcoholic drink, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. However, we decided to get one large appetizer to share instead of one of each b/c we didn't want to be too full for our entrees.

This is the Antipasto Misto - generous platter of appetizers and Italian specialties, serves two $28. This was pretty great. Everything was fresh and delicious. However, it is absolutely too much for two people, unless you were coming here just for this. And honestly, I recommend that. I would love to go back and get a glass of wine, share the bread and antipasto with my mom, and be done. You can easily fill up just from that, so if you want to try Tutto, that's an option. I ate almost all the proscuitto and soprasata myself because that is my favorite, and of course the olives and cheese. My mom had to like, almost pry these items out of my hands just so she could get a taste LOL. Just kidding, I shared(ish). I don't really eat peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, or artichoke hearts, so my mom enjoyed all of those and the greens, I think we know by now that I don't waste stomach space on greens. LOL. I think the only thing that neither of us touched was the bologna. Not a fan, ick!

For my entree, I got this:

Farfalle - Bowtie pasta, Italian prosciutto ham, peas, parmesian cream $19.50 This was very good. It was not great. If you are paying OOP I would not say it's worth $20. They hand make the pasta in the kitchen (at least, that's what loverboy told me) and that set my expectations HIGH because fresh, homemade pasta makes pasta from a box taste like crap. If I wasn't such an Italian food freak it probably would have been fine but I wanted to be blown away and I just didn't feel that.

I couldn't find a pic, but my mom ordered the Casarecci - Cavatelli pasta, sweet sausage ragu, tomatoes, pecorino romano $23. She WAS blown away by her dish. She would not stop raving about it. On and on and on she went about how delicious it was. That made the price worth it to me because she was so happy.

At this point, most of the servers were crowded around our table. JKDKSJDASKLSDLOLOL. Don't ask cause I don't even know, you guys. It wasn't busy in there and my mom was just gushing and gushing about her food and Italian people are super friendly and so not only was Loverboy there, but the tall, dark, and handsome guy I had originally had my eye on, another hot guy, and two female servers. They were all absolutely lovely people and we enjoyed talking to them so much.

The girls both were fair skinned with blonde hair, like myself, which I LOVED because I look like that and I am 50% Italian and people are always saying to me, "You're Italian? You don't LOOK Italian..." as if I'm lying. I told the girls that and they were mystified by it. One of them said, "Americans just don't understand!!" in a really hilarious way. It's annoying how some Americans think all Italians have olive skin and dark hair, when in reality tons of Italians look just like me, including the female servers and loverboy. We bonded on our blondeness while he told me all about his hometown (Florence) and the desserts. I didn't hear a word of it.

During this time I was tweeting a bunch of ridiculousness such as:

I am completely in love with our Italian server. Epcot is the best place in the world ever. Dec 07, 2011

If I just attach myself to one of these Italian guys would that be A) Bad, B) Good, or C) My first arrest? Dec 07, 2011

I'm embarrassing. Let's move on.

I ended up selecting the dessert sampler:

I love samplers because it is simply too hard to choose! Okay so on the left we have the tiramisu, center is a cannoli, and the right is a chocolate hazelnut mousse cake. I am a very tough judge here. My dad's friend owns the BEST Italian bakery you will ever go to and so I know my stuff. The tiramisu was good. The cannoli was okay. The cake was AMAZING. I wish I had ordered a full slice instead, which is what my mom got and loved.

With the tax and tip, the bill came to about $130. I didn't feel great about that. Did we have a good meal? Yes. Was some of it disappointing? Yes. $130 for lunch for two people is a lot. I can't deny we ate good food and had amazing service. It's a lovely restaurant and that area of WS in general is just beautiful. However, if it costs that much for a lunch I should be blown away. It's not that I was necessarily upset about the price itself: I'll spend a lot on food, trust me. It was the fact that there are SO many restaurants at WDW I love or would love to try. For that price, we could have gone back to California Grill or tried Jiko or something, you know? I dream of being at Disney all the time and when we finally get there it goes by so fast and there are so many places to try and I just felt cheated out of our TIME more than anything by the end of the night.

Ah yes, don't forget, we still have the Candlelight Processional to go to, AKA the whole reason for booking this package. If the CP had gone well, it would have made the entire experience worth it. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Day 3, Part 4 In Which Everything Really Blows

As soon as we left Tutto, it started pouring, so we ducked back in the restaurant for awhile.

I posted on Twitter:
Oh no, it's pouring. Rats. Guess I'll have to stay in here with the smoking hot waiters then. Lalalalalalalalalala Dec 07, 2011

No complaints here.

When it had gotten down to a light drizzle, we headed for the CP with plenty of time to spare. The hostess at Tutto had given us our passes for the CP told us to arrive a half hour before showtime to ensure good seating, and we were right in that range when we arrived. We were already a bit wet and couldn't wait to sit down in our priority seats in the covered section of the theatre.

At the America Gardens Theatre, the section closest to the stage is covered along with the stage. The section behind that is not covered, therefore all the seats were soaking wet. I figured, being that we bought a package to ensure good seating, that we would have a seat under the covered area. We didn't, even though we had paid for good seats and arrived 30 minutes in advance like we were told. I found this to be ridiculous. Only a part of the covered area is for CP package holders. The other section is for people who wait on line. I'm sorry, but if you are paying for priority seating you should be given the good seats above someone not paying for priority seating! Isn't that the point of it?!

I was upset. Not only did I feel like the lunch wasn't worth the money, the priority seating DEFINITELY wasn't. Because it wasn't priority seating. My mom offered to go get napkins so we could dry off our part of the bench, so that helped at least. The whole thing was just really frustrating and I was very unhappy.

View from our very VIP priority seats.

Close up of the trees they have on either side of the stage.

By the time the show started, we had been sitting in the rain for over a half hour. I was freezing. I was wet. I was disappointed, and I'm never disappointed in Disney.

Luckily my camera had a good zoom!

The Candlelight Processional is no doubt a beautiful show. A celebrity guest narrates the story of Christmas while a mass choir and orchestra perform music in between. The celebrity guest was Isabella Rosselini, and she did a wonderful job. I really thought it was a great show and if I had been DRY and in a better mood it probably would have moved me to tears at some point. However, my discomfort held me back from truly enjoying myself because I was freezing, wet, and annoyed feeling like we had wasted money and time.

Thankfully, it stopped drizzling sometime during the show, but I still couldn't wait for it to end, because that would mean that we could go back to Pop Century, change, and be warm!

Overall, I was really disappointed in the experience. I would not book a dining package again. What was the point of it? We could have gotten a better meal for less money and waited on line for the CP and gotten an actual good seat. It was just crazy.

All of that said, I was at Disney, and I refused to waste any of my precious Disney time being upset and bitter. Yeah, we felt kind of cheated. But why waste our vacation being upset over something we can't change? So we dropped it. Yeah, it was disappointing, but as I always say... the show must go on. And it did! THE LIVIN IT UP WOULD NOT CEASE.

Up Next: A fellow Disser (who I'm sure you're all familiar with) and her lovely mama turn our night around!

Well... I mean I was going to start this Philosophy paper that I'm going to try and have done by 10 o'clock tonight... and it's basically going to take me forever to do... but then I saw you updated. So I mean, my priorities obviously lie here. I WILL READ THIS FIRST! (I'm just justifying my procrastination, please excuse me. )

HOORAY FOR MAGICAL THINKING AND A BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN WAITER Life could not get much better than that!

Oh wait, yes it can. FOOOOOOOOOOOD

Tutto is one of the few Disney restaurants that I haven't been to yet! I need to make sure I go there on my next family trip!

Those desserts looks AMAZING... especially the chocolate cake. I WANT.

Ugh I feel really bad about the whole CP Package fiasco. Like... I just know exactly how you feel. I wish the experience would have been better for you overall. I'm really glad there were hot waiters though at Tutto. If there weren't, that REALLY would have sucked. But that whole seating thing... I agree with you. That's NOT fair at all. I feel like the package is literally only worth it during the week in between Christmas and New Years. I don't think you need it in early December. Oh well, lesson learned and advice shared.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT UPDATE!!!!!! I wonder who that diser could POSSIBLY be.....

Jess, you made the right choice. How important is a college paper when compared to my trip report REALLY?

hahaha while I was catching up on all your former TRs a couple weeks ago, I was seriously thinking "What Disney restaurants HASN'T this girl been to?" You're much better at trying new places than I am. It's always hard to decide between old faves and new experiences. You should def try Tutto, but with normal pricing, not $52 pp for lunch. Wah.

I knew you'd understand! And yep, I definitely see how it would be 100% worth it during Christmas week since I'm sure it's hard to even find standing room around that time. I honestly should have done more research. It would have been no prob to just wait on the line for 20-40 minutes and get a good seat that way.

LOL it is so funny that you would say that about the pictures of the waiters b/c I already decided I'm going to get pics with as many attractive International CMs as possible next trip. Necessary!

I was going to e-mail them about it, I don't know why I didn't. Probably should have. Guess I didn't want to dwell/drag it on any longer. I figured I could have gotten some Fastpasses or even possibly a refund out of it if I complained to Guest Services on the spot but I was not in the mood.

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that the CP was overall a disappointment. It really really stinks when things at Disney are a letdown. I mean, I know it's unrealistic to expect EVERYTHING to go perfectly during a trip, but to spend so much money and be soaking wet and miserable is really a shame.

Your meal at Tutto looked good though! I would have been all over that antipasto too! Dessert samplers are always a fun way to go!

I hope you made it back to Pop quickly and were able to get warm and dry!!

Yay for good looking waiters! Glad you got some bonding time with future husband.
Boo Hiss for your whole CP experience. The priority seating should really be more of a priority. I hate when disappointments are expensive too. Lame.
I'm so glad the "livin it up' did not cease! That is what is truly important.

I can't believe you would have to pay the full price of the package if you cancelled! I love Disney, but that seems a little unfair!

Wow...those waiters at Tutto Italia sound worth the trip! I told my sister about your update and she said a foreign husband who also works at Disney would be pretty much the best husband ever.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with the CP! That really stinks when something at Disney doesn't live up to your expectations. They set the bar so high that it's that much worse when something disappoints you!

I think I know who that DISer is! I can see how she and her sweet mother would cheer you up!

Yeah, I always expect little vacation mishaps, but the rain really put me over the edge. Sigh.

I could definitely go for some of that antipasto right now! Yum!

You will just have to wait for the next update to see! haha

Yes, it was a great bonding experience for he and I. I'm sure he is heartbroken over me, but hopefully he will still be working for Disney when I return.

The priority seating should absolutely be more of a priority! I honestly don't know what Disney was thinking with that.

hahaha the Livin It Up will NEVER EVER cease!

I agree. I hope they make exceptions for flat out emergencies, because God forbid something bad happens and then on top of it you have to be out all that money? Imagine a family of 5 or something.

They absolutely are worth the trip hahaha best part of the meal TBH. Your sister is right, a hot foreign Disney husband would be my #1 choice! A girl can dream...

Yup, it's definitely that the bar is set so high with Disney. The quality of everything is always so high that when something doesn't go perfectly, it's like doubly disappointing.

Hmm, I am thinking you have guessed right! But you will just have to wait and see! haha

I love how you talked about being blond and fair, and still being Italian. I find it hilarious that people mistakenly think that Italians are all tanned and dark. Um, not so much the case. I know a lot of fair Italians! Much of it depends on region peeps!

I'm so sorry that the CP didn't live up to the expectations. That really stinks about the seating! You're totally right, your seats should have been covered. If you paid that money, you should have had covering. Period.

I can't believe they charge you the whole price if you cancel the CP dinner package! I don't even like the new rules they have where if you cancel some ADR's now they charge you $10 per person! Ugh.

That is so weird they first said that Tutto was closed, when you had an ADR there! I'm glad your "Magical Thinking" worked and you summoned all of the hot Italian waiters to your table! See, if that was me, I would have been doing the opposite, I would want them to stay away from my table, I don't do well with attractive foreign men! (Although, it's difficult when your husband is sitting across from you, you know? Kind of have to keep your composure, which is why I would have tried to will them away! I'd much rather admire them from afar! )

$130 for lunch is pretty crazy! I think when we did the CP package, I was kind of surprised by the bill too, because we did lunch at Rose and Crown, and it was really expensive!

I was kind of disappointed in our seats too, only because it was raining, like it was for you! I mean, if you're saying to people that buy the package that they get priority seating, make sure they get a seat under the roof, you know? Maybe don't sell so many packages. I had pretty much the same experience as you, I loved the CP, but I was annoyed because we were wet, by the end, I was ready for it to be over! It was beautiful and moving, but I know I would have enjoyed it more if it was DRY!

You and your mom have such a great attitude, I'm glad you guys didn't let your CP experience ruin your evening and the Livin' It Upcontinued!!
