Glad your Disney Fuzzy math worked out in your favor! It shows that it can't hurt to go back and double check the numbers, it very easily could have worked out as a plus for you.

Not much longer......

I was happy with my original deal and now that I've double checked the sums, I'm even more happy. Thanks.

Thanks for subbing and welcome to this PTR! Are you just doing HKD or are you seeing HK as well?

I am in. How exciting that you are going to HK Disneyland. That is right around the corner. I want to see each and every Disney Park someday. It is nice that your parents are going with you. An extra $28 per ticket x 3 is worth it to have your translators. You are so funny. Sorry there are not more threads on it and that your thread was closed down. I love the food porn. I love your definition of what Asians eat. I do not know anyone who eats what people think they do, although I have never been to Asia. My husband taught me to never ask his parents what their chocolate meat is. When they asked me to try it, I said chocolate and meat do not sound good together, so no thanks. Cannot wait to read more.

I am skipping around a little, since I am so far behind. Sorry Chinese Roz was not more friendly/helpful. At least you are lighthearted about everything, since you wrote it in such a hilarious way. Hope it all works out.

Your Disney FUzzy Math post cracked me up. I had to read it twice to get it. As long as you are getting the best deal, that is what matters most.

I posted here last night but looks like it disappeared .

Anyway, what I was saying was....I was looking forward to school going back so I could concentrate on organizing this trip BUT I'm even busier with all the school/extra curricular activities, and I haven't had a chance to think about it. I haven't done anything except book the accommodation

At least we have a long weekend coming up here with very little commitments so I'm planning on dedicating this weekend to planning this holiday .

We ended up going with the Hollywood Hotel for our 2 nights at HKDL. We talked about it and thought that while DH and I would prefer the Disneyland Hotel, the kids would probably like the HH better. The deal was done when our youngest saw a pic of the guitar shaped pool at the HH and declared that he must stay there! We are doing one night at The Venetian in Macau so that should satisfy our luxury craving .

So for DL, all I've booked is the 2 nights accom (2 Park view rooms at the Hollywood Hotel) and 2 day park passes. I'm going to book Chef Mickey's for one night and the Enchanted Garden breakfast one morning. Thanks for the heads up on the online discounts, I will check them out . We miss out on the Disney Dim Sum as it finishes before we get there .

Glad to see your planning is coming along well!

The Halloween Trunk or Treat looked fun and festive. People really got into it. You never even see that much themed candy here in the States.

I am sure you already decided, but I would say go phat. I would end the trip with Disney. That will give you more energy to explore the city at your pace.

I hope you get the planning that you want done over the Labour Day weekend. I'd be curious to see your pics of HH for comparison purposes.

The Disney Dim Sum deal might not cover your travel period but they do offer the Disney Dim Sum on Sundays. Are you there at a weekend? If so, just book it and see.

I'm trying not to focus on the end of the month. I have a bunch of things to finish at work before then.

I'm actually starting the trip with Disney. The overwhelming consensus was to finish the trip with Disney and I agreed. Except that if I finish my trip at Disney, I run into the Easter weekend and I expect the crowds to be crazy that week. So, we're doing it 'ph'irst.

4 weeks countdown and to-do checklist

4 weeks countdown and to-do checklist

4 weeks to go and Iím still trying to keep a calm and steady ship going. I have buckets of excrement to do at work and still have to get that shoveling done before I slack off.

However.

I have 4 weeks to go.

At this stage of the planning game on any other PTR, the discussion will invariably start to drift towards the practicalities of the travel:
  • Start buying toiletries and medical supplies. Iíve checked the stash at home and have compiled my list. Iím going to need disposable toothbrushes for the plane, dental floss, Panadol, bandaids and travel sized shampoo & conditioner.
  • Go on a diet to lose some weight. Check. This one I started in mid-January and Iíve lost 3 kgs in the last 6 weeks.
  • Get a haircut. Check. Got my scraggly ducktails lopped today because it usually takes my hair about 3 weeks to recover from the last haircut.
  • Decide what handbag to take. Check. This is a non-issue for me because I now carry a camera backpack; and donít have hand or shoulder space for any other bag. I do need to scale my purse size down in order to be able to fit the purse with the lenses and camera.
  • Decide what shoes to take. Check. My trusty Sketchers and my black low heels normally make it into the bag.
  • Start thinking about what clothes to pack.
Hmmm. You knowÖaside from knowing that itís gonna be spring in Hong Kong, I really donít know what the weather is like in April.
Hmmm. Iím gonna need to have a conversation with DH and my mother in regards to whether we want to do any laundry in Hong Kong. OMG! Where do you do laundry in Hong Kong???

Looks like I have a little research to do.

Is there anything else Iíve forgotten?

I must not have read the part yet that list the actual travel dates. I agree. Avoid Easter.

I wanted to get my scraggly ducktails (love it) lopped and lose some weight before my trip too, but sadly I never accomplished either. Looks like you are ahead of the game.
