Hello! I'm very excited to say I'll be participating in the Royal Family 5K stroller division this month! This is so important to me because I have a heart condition and two years ago was diagnosed with a lung condition. I recently found out the lung diagnosis was possibly wrong, and couldn't be happier with my new lease on life. I've almost completed the active.com Couch-2-5K program, but I don't want to stop! I'm aiming for Everest and eventually, a half. I live in Orlando, so I'm sticking with Disney races. Obviously, I'm pretty new to running and was wondering if you had any tips. As of today, I can do 1.78 miles in 19.32 mpm. I know it's slow, but it's more than I ever thought I could do!

I am new to running also and the Royal Family will be my first run also! It sounds like you are on the right track! Congrats!!
If you go the the WISHES Competition board (go to the top of this board) I started a thread there asking questions about the Royal Family 5k. Other newbies have asked questions also. Feel free to join us there. |

Thank you so much! I'm ridiculously excited. I've been training hard, doing a 5K twice so far this week. I'm so tempted to do the half, but my time is just too slow.
