Question Sanaa Restaurant

We have dinner planned at the Sanaa Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village. We have a reservation at 5:15 the sun sets about 6:15 that day can anyone let me know how late the animals are out and can you see them after the sun sets. Second questions we are spending the day at the Animal Kingdom the day we eat at Sanaa how long will it take to get to the restaurant from the Animal Kingdom.

Hi JJR. First, the travel from AK to DAKL depends on how you get there. If you are in a car, no more than 5 minutes. By bus, potentially 15. It all depends on how Disney transport is that day. My wife and I love Sanaa... but we stick to lunch. Great quality, and all the animals are out.

Later in the day, the animals you can view are limited to African cattle, ostrich and zebra - though the latter tends to be harder to spot in the darkness. More over, at dinner they tend to reserve the window-side table for guests staying at the Lodge. Unfortunately, you may not get a great view of the Savannah. But the food is wonderful.

There are night vision goggles available, I believe at both resorts. There is a drum cafe at 7:30 in the Library above the restaurant and then the CMs tell stories around the firepit out from the huge window overlooking the savanna. Last visit I even played a drum and then my Mom and I sat and listen to a presentation by Beki--a CM from Zimbabwe. There was also a movie by the pool at 8:00 p.m.

We you enter the lobby, go past the gift sho to the hallway on your right. On the right wall there will be a list of activities and times.

It is a wonderful resort. We love the Naan bread. We ordered room service on our last trip from Sanaa and decided that while it was good...there were too many different spices for our tastes. So we will stick to a continental breakfast with the Naan bread.
