Our party consists of 2 rooms:

Me (Kim), DH (sean), and DD (10), and my dad (DGF??)

We did a 10-night Med in 2010 and are so excited to do something new!!

We're in too...because someone with a Disney problem convinced us to give up our concierge ways (23,500 was too rich for our blood and there was none left this morning anyway) and book a cat 9 and 10 so that we could cruise again....

It's me Mindy, DH (Jim)(Bigbootee), DS Sam(12) and DD Haylee (12) We will be gold by the time we go, but not in time to book. Look forward to hanging with ya all.

We're really happy to be returning to Villefranche, as this was the surprise favorite from last time! And, at our daughter's request, we'll do Pisa instead of Cinque Terrre! No idea what we'll do in Malta, but we really liked it last time. It was so hot in August, though, hence the June booking!

We did Pisa last time, don't think we're going to do it again...I almost died last time...probably could do it no problem this time....want to see other things as well...and if I remember your daughter stayed on the ship and didn't do Cinque Terre...she would love it.

We really felt the pain of so many heavy port days - our surprise most fun day was Pisa - we did an afternoon excursion and it was so nice to not have to be up and out so early as we were every other port - especially as it was the day after Rome. This time because we are B2Bing with the Venice trip, we'll do ROME heavy with this sailing since there is a sea-day the next day. And we'll save FLORENCE for the next sailing and do a lighter Rome day then...

which brings me to why I quoted here because I remembered talking to some fellow passengers on LaSpezia day in 2007 and they were telling us how absolutely lovely Cinque Terre was and we were thinking that might be what we do with this sailing for La Spezia. Never too early to start thinking it through, eh? I need to make a master list (LOL).

We did Pisa last time at our sons' request - they really wanted to climb the tower, so we booked an excursion that let us!

I checked from Jacksonville and it was $1300 - the flight connects in ATL onto the SAME flight from ATL to BCN - that's insane - a $240 difference - for the four of us, that's excursion money right there, except we don't have to pay for parking in ATL but we would in JAX - unless we just rented a car to get to JAX and then one when we got back to get home - but I love the idea of non-stop direct flights. We usually use DCL but since this cruise is via DVC and our second-half is through DCL, I'm gonna let our travel agent advise me and help me.

Cinque Terre was fabulous! I have some memorable, amazing pictures! However, there were some major storms that caused some major damage to the trail. Here's hoping they're able to rebuild!

My husband and I booked this last night. By this morning, the rate was over $900 MORE for the very same cabin!!! I am so glad our travel agent booked it yesterday for us! We even tried moving our November 2012 Fantasy booking to this sailing to transfer our on-board discount but the rates were enough higher today that it ate up the discount and then some.

We did the 6/29/11 10-night Med cruise and had an amazing time, as did our kids, DD23 and DS18. It will be odd to do this one without them. The nice thing about doing some of the same ports again is that now we can go back and spend our time at the places we really loved in Rome and Florence and we can try new things in Malta and Villefranche. The real reason we booked this one in particular is that we have always wanted to see Greece. The vision I have of us sailing into port near Mykonos is a daydream that will get me through any tough times over the next 16+ months.

I always thought they were Greek since the Fraternities and Sororities had them, but I guess the Romans had the togas and the Greeks had chitons.
