Photo Board Assignment: Winter Scavenger Hunt, January-April, 2012

Welcome to the Winter Scavenger Hunt!

By popular vote we have decided to try something a little different this time. Instead of items, I've listed common phrases for us to work with that will be open to our own photographic interpretation. Get as few or as many as you like, it's up to you. You can use the same one more than once if you find something else that fits the category.

Remember, the purpose of the Assignment is to get out and have fun using our cameras, maybe learning a few things along the way, so pictures should be new as often as possible (though if you have a relatively new picture that fits a category, you can use it). All cameras and levels are welcome.

Since we're getting started a little late, we'll run it January 15th to April 15th. No prizes can be rewarded other than recognition for a job well done! Once you post ten categories, however, you will be eligible to put the 2012 Winter Scavenger Hunt Avatar in your signature. (Below)

A Little Birdie Told Me I went to Healesville Sanctuary and they have a Birds of Flight show. This long-billed Corella was speaking and answering questions into the microphone.

My friend who makes them for me, every Hunt, has made me a "Judge" avatar as a joke and I've never put them in my signature - till now. This time around they're special cause they "match up" so in recognition of all his hard work for us, here we go. Thanks, Dude!

Love the avatar. I think I might have qualified for it???

There's a lot of scope in the categories. I'll certainly be looking for the stretching angles...but I'm gonna be busy at work so not sure how much time I'll have to get out and about.
