Since there wasn't one started already, I thought I would start one for those of us going in January 2013. Our dates aren't set in stone but will either be 1/5-10 or the 1/6-11.

We are planning on January 5th - 12th At either Pop, AsMu, AsMo or Ft. W or maybe a combo of one of those with the Nick hotel

Mama!! I'm sure as the year goes, we'll have more. I can't believe we're the only two crazy enough to already be planning a trip for January 2013. Just think, this time next year, we'll be at WDW!!

I'll just leave you as undecided for your resort until you pick one. Which is really hard to do with so many good choices.

I agree with your ticker. Our WDW trip is long overdue as well. On our last trip, we had a quick lunch at Epcot before we had to catch ME back to MCO. That was on October 13, 2006, and was about 5 years, 2 months, 28 days ago. By the time we go it will have been about 6 years, 2 months, 23 days since we were last at WDW, but really who's counting. Hopefully, this will be the longest stretch between WDW trips.

Its too early for me to figure numbers Our last trip was Feb 14, 2007, it was a quick arrive on Wed night, MK on Thurs, HS on Fri, head to Ft Laud, pick up my mom, and back to NC on Sunday

The sad part is, when we lived in Ft Laud, I really wasnt a Disney freak, but once I moved away it all kicked in

and no Epcot. We were there a few days longer than you were. We were there October 8-13, 2006, and went to our first MNSSHP. It was a great trip!! We stayed at the WL in a woods view room near the otter pond. We couldn't see the MK, but we could see the fireworks popping through the trees.

I would love to live that close to WDW. I would be there as often as my DH would let me. Now I just need to convince Disney that they want to move all of WDW to North Texas.

Nope, no Epcot But we did do PNPP, which was great! Extended our MK day to 2am by the time we got back to the room

Do either of you know when the packages will be out for next year? I already have a November package booked, but the DH doesn't want me to change the dates until I can switch it directly to a January package.

I believe August, that's usually when they release them, I think last year they did it earlier. Also, I was looking through historical discounts and realized FD has been offered for Jan the past couple years

I thought you could book them at the 500 day ark, or is that room only's. If we have to wait till August, how do I book my ADRs 180+10 days out?

And if they do free dining (fingers crossed) I am not sure if I would upgrade or just pay OOP for a couple meals... I guess I will just have to wait and see what the price to upgrade in 2013 is. Wish they still had the two snack credits on the QSDP it was one of the things that made the QSDP seem awesome to me. We have only done the free DDP before. Have either of you done the QSDP? Any CS locations that are must do's for you?

I believe you can only book a room only. You can make ADR's even without a reservation though I havent done QSDP, I payed OOP for DDP last time. If they offer it I'm def going to upgrade to DDP, for our group I know I'll get my money's worth and it's less of a hassle for me to figure meal costs, even if FD is not offered I've added DDP to our budget.

Thanks. Hopefully, we will get FD for our dates as well. If they don't offer it, I don't think my DH will let us get the DlxDDP.

I have never been on any of the DDP. We really don't have any CSs that are must do's for us. I really don't like doing CSs b/c of searching for tables and such. I would much rather do all TS.

I might book a room then switch to a package to get the 180+ten ADR window. We loved getting into TH at 8am last time and it would make me feel more secure that I could get it...

The plus for us with CS is not really waiting for anything. Sometimes with the little people that makes a big difference... But I do want to try so many TS restaurants... I'll wait and see how much extra $$ we have/don't have. I saw somewhere you can upgrade as close to three days before your trip. Just knowing that makes me feel better

Yes, you can make ADRs even without a package/ room only ressie, but only people with a booked Disney package or room only reservation can book ADRs at 180 + 10 days. With no Disney reservation, you have to call for each 180 day out of each day of your trip. Instead of doing it at one call on the 180 day out of arrival.
