Non proposal

Hi all

I guess there's been a glut of proposal posts recently so I'm kind of jumping on the bandwagon.

I don't want to propose to my partner per say - she's always said she wants to be the proposer...in a stereotypical kind of way she is the 'man' of the relationship and I guess she sees it as her role. I'm more femme than she is and if I'm honest I'd love her to propose but she's said she won't until she can afford a good ring and she is in a good enough job for us to be comfortable.

Anyway...I want to get her a kind of committment ring and give it her at Disney in April. She loves Dumbo so was thinking something around that ride but she doesn't like too much fuss or attention. I just really want to do something that shows I want to be with her and I suppose to give her that experience.

Any ideas?

Dumbo is usually pretty busy. It's a favorite ride of young children and the area is almost always fairly hectic.

There are some lovely quieter areas in the park. Near the castle for one.

Just off Main St. (to the right, if you are facing the castle) is another.

Walk around and look for little tucked up places that might better suit your need for a touch of privacy.

EPCOT will have many options. Each country has it's own area, and most have really nice little quiet spots. Morocco and Japan come to mind first, for having the most obvious options. :yes:

You could go to a "beach" like the one at the Polynesian, the Beach Club or at Wilderness Lodge.

Hope some of those ideas help.

A nice quiet area in the MK near the castle is the wishing well. You'll find it along the path from the "back" of the castle towards Tomorrowland.

being the "femme" isn't a reason to not propose! I'm a woman and my fiance is a man, and I proposed to him!


I was going to do it at Disney on Splash Mountain when they take the picture, but I got nervous and did it a week before our trip because I knew we'd have to talk more about it before I got a yes, and I didn't want to ruin our day at the park...

Anyways, you should absolutely do it on her favorite ride! I'm so sad I missed my opportunity to do the same. Also, if she doesn't like too much attention, being on the ride is relatively private.
