If you do this(and yes I do consider it rude), bring headphones. People in there came to have a nice dinner, not watch a movie. I certainly wouldn't want to try to have a discussion over noise from someone's iPad at the next table. Plus, I'm not the biggest fan of parents using tv as a babysitter. If you don't think your children can stay quiet for a long sit down dinner, maybe you should reconsider doing one.
