Gaylord Palms ICE and Snow shows?
Has anyone been to this? How was it? Did you pack your own winter gear? I'm a little skeeved by having to share a coat with another guest. Do you think a 4 and 12 year old would like it? I see this year they are having Shrek. Did you do Ice only or with the snow portion? TIA

We went when it was only ICE. Since we live in florida we really didn't bring our winter gear. I brought our hats and gloves, then wore the coats provided. Yes, I think both age groups will like it. The older one might get a little bored but will like the ice slides. If they still do the ice skating, don't bother. Its too hot here to keep the ice rink well icy, unless they moved it indoors.

Did Ice last year, as part of the Polar Bear Challenge (yes, I went through it in a bathing suit). As part of the deal, got to go back later in the day, see it at a more leisurly pace. Definitely fun, just the sheer size of it is overwhelming.
The first trip through is burned much more deeply into my mind, but I do remember racks of parkas. I did bring my own gloves and hat, definitely was glad I did. |
