Hey all! Welcome to our Trip Report!

If you are wondering who “We” are well I will introduce my clan then I will let my travel partner introduce her clan

My half of the travel party is:

Me, Natalie a 35 year old single mom of 3 (my 17 year old won’t go to Disney with us anymore though) I am the planner of all things Disney and I get as much joy out of planning the trip as I do in going on the trip, in fact I think I am always working on planning a trip (even when I am in the world)

Eryka my 9 year old daughter (last year as a child at Disney) She enjoys going to Disney mainly for the coasters and I think in a couple of years she will be like my son and won’t want to go anymore

Emma my 7 year old and baby of the family. Em loves Disney as much as I do and she tells me she will always be my Disney travel partner! Her first love is the Monorail and must have monorail toys and ride the monorail as much as possible!

Now how this trip got started. Tracy and I met in the Disboards but although we lived 45 minutes away from each other we had never met before. We went to Disney in 2010 a week apart because she wouldn’t move her trip to the same time as mine

I started planning my 2011 trip and she was following along on my PTR
One day I got a Facebook message that she had talked George into letting her go with the 2 kids at the same time as me!!!!

I was very excited to have another adult along on the trip and some kids to keep my kids company as well.

So we started planning our joint trip and you can read all about it in the PTR if you want (link in my signature)

The dates for our trip were September 23 – October 3
We stayed at Pop Century and requested joint rooms, building 3 and lake side and We flew Southwest out of Buffalo

I hope we have lots of readers to follow us along on our adventures!!!!

Hello and welcome to our Spookacular Trip Report! Glad to have you along!

One day, the DH and I were chit chatting and I jokingly (well half jokingly anyway) told him that I would love to join my friend Natalie and her girls on their trip to Disney in September. I’d just come back from a solo trip to Disney with the Spectrum Mom’s in January and a family Christmas trip in November. Much to my utter shock, he replied that I should go. I think it took me about 7.2 seconds to grab my phone and text Natalie that George was OK with us going and the planning began!

Here are my Cast of Characters:

Ariana – DD15

Ariana adores anything and everything to do with Disney, especially the Princesses. Her favorite park is Magic Kingdom and her favorite character is Snow White. Ariana was diagnosed with autism at the age of three and struggles with communication, attentiveness and sitting still. She tends to wander and has little sense of the danger of being away from her family - if she sees something she wants, she just goes for it. She had her 15th birthday on the trip!

Demetri – DS6

Demetri loves our Disney trips and is always asking how soon until the next one. His favorite park is Magic Kingdom and his favorite character is Lightning McQueen. Demetri has an abundance of energy that he struggles to contain and wants to know the reason for how everything works which makes him ask a zillion questions all day long! He was thrilled to be tall enough this year for the one ride he’s been dying to go on – Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n Roller Coaster.

Me (Tracy)

(Yes this is a picture from a previous trip. As the chief picture-taker in my family there are very few pictures of me and even less that I like!) This was my first family trip leaving DH and my eldest (Alex – DS16) behind. My favorite park makes it a clean sweep for Magic Kingdom and my favorite character is Johnny Depp, er … Jack Sparrow. I didn’t anticipate how challenging it would be to keep watch over both Ariana and Demetri but I was really looking forward to this Halloween trip that would be a do-over of sorts. Our 2007 Halloween trip was wonderful but it was pre-DIS and we lost most of the photos and video we took.

We had ambitious wish lists to conquer but 11 days to do it in…. did we find that balance of accomplishments versus relaxation? Hope you continue to read along to find out!

I thought we were in agreement on "Two Crazy Canadians Halloween Spooktacular" as the title of the Trip Report! By in agreement I mean, I mentioned it and naturally assumed you would think it was the best title ever and would be using it.

we used part of it, I thought it was a compromise

Also there were more than 2 crazy Canadians on this trip so your title wouldn't have worked

You are correct, now that I think of it I proposed 2 crazy Canadian chicks halloween spooktacular. But it was more than just you two. Not sure how to fit families into my title, so I guess I will accept your compromise.
