Question Making a small dream come true....is this possible?

I was hoping someone would have some advice or a suggestion.

Just a little background so you know where I am coming from. I am one of those rare breeds who are OBSESSED with the Enchanted Tiki Room. Its my ringtone on my phone, my entire pin collection is Tiki birds and even my house is starting to resemble the attraction.

I last saw the Tiki room in Dec 2010 right before the fire. Of course when we went in April 2011 it was still closed and I was so upset. The cast member at the entrance suggested that it should be reopening this summer just confirming the other predictions I had seen. I felt a little better know that I would be able to see my little Fritz and Jose soon.

Now here we are 22 days from our next trip and come to find out they are reopening the day AFTER we leave! I even tried to slide or vacation over but I couldn't because of work. This will be are last trip for a while as I am a DVC member and I have to build up my points again

What are the chances I could get a sneek peek at the show? Maybe not actually see the show, but at least get to go in for a minute to see the inside. Am I being unreasonable to think I may actually have a chance? I know it seems silly but this would mean so much to me. Any advice would really help or suggestion on who to ask while I am there.

There's a good chance that there'll be a "soft opening" before it officially reopens, to make sure it's all working well. Keep an eye on it while you're there.

Yeah, if you're that close to the official opening there is usually a good chance you might happen upon a soft opening. Good Luck!!

A "soft opening" would be GREAT! I did not know that they did that. I will keep my fingers crossed and maybe say a little prayer to the "Tiki Gods"
