Slightly off topic but since I'm here - does anyone have experience ordering from the Disney florist? I'd like to plan a little surprise in the room. I'm just wondering how far in advance I can set it up and what day it would be delivered (I assume 2nd). I sent them an email and apparently their email is down and I haven't had a chance to call.

I could not drive down!!! Our youngest has been flying since her first trip when she was 8 months old. After flying with her older two siblings I swore I would never fly with a toddler again, but we started playing the airplane / school bus game with her. While driving it was a game ....an airplane is worth 3 points, a school bus 1 pt, and then we added things like a Mickey Bobber (antenna topper - had to be Disney themed) that is 15 points!!!! I don't know why but she was so excited to be part of the airplane game and was so calm and well behaved and she was right around 18 months.

As for Disney Florist, my parents and a friend both once ordered and the items arrived the same day at our hotel. I believe if you order ahead of time you can request for your day of delivery and put in some extra details.

Meetings, meetings, meetings, and more meetings....okay I was on one 11 day vacation and have another one coming up in August....but I am sooooooooooooooooo sick of being in meetings!

All of these construction projects are driving me nuts and I need to duplicate myself. I am involved in 5 new committees for the transition into the new wing and CANNOT wait to get away to the Poly! We were originally going to stay at WL, but I couldn't do it. Then I am trying to get my extended family to choose the Poly for June 2012!!!!

Less likely to break than a plastic spork considering the fervor I was going at my pineapple with!!! Yummy rummy pineappley goodness!
Great suggestion! We're leaving in a few minutes and I just threw my grapefruit spoon into my luggage. Wonder what I could use it for at the WL?

Is it sad that I literally had a dream about lapu lapus last night? We leave in 13 days and I think (ok, I KNOW) my brain is already there!

Life vests?

So excited for the new thread. Thank you Guitar Rob! We're 30 days away (ticker is off) from officially joining the Poly family and we cannot wait--woohoo. I'm so thankful for all of the helpful posts, and equally thankful to know that when we return home, I'll be able to beat the blues by staying connected.

As we prepare to pack, I was wondering if there are life vests near the pool areas? When we stayed at AKL two years ago, they had them. My DS still needs to use floaties, and it would be great not to have to pack. Thanks!

They have vests that you can check out at the marina (right near the pool) and you can keep it for the duration of your stay. When you need to turn it in you can either bring it back to the marina or if they are closed leave it with someone at the front desk (or the concierge if staying CL) and they can return it for you.

You could always get them from Mikala Canoe Club Marina, just have your key to the world card available.
