Dinosaur included, or NOT, in the official list of Disney Full Length Anmtd Features?

Hello all,

I am having trouble locating an OFFICIAL DISNEY source (not wikipedia, fan pages, etc) that lists the Disney Full Length Animated Features in order. In searching non-official sites, I find some that include Dinosaur (inbetween Fantasia 2000 and Emperor's New Groove), and I find some that say that Dinosaur is NOT considered an official Full Length Animated Feature.

Can anyone point to an official Disney list? My my count, without Dinosaur, we are at 49 with Tangled:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 1937.
Pinocchio, 1940.
Fantasia, 1940.
Dumbo, 1941.
Bambi, 1942.
Saludos Amigos, 1943.
The Three Caballeros, 1945.
Make Mine Music, 1946.
Fun and Fancy Free, 1947.
Melody Time, 1948.
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, 1949.
Cinderella, 1950.
Alice in Wonderland, 1951.
Peter Pan, 1953.
Lady and the Tramp, 1955.
Sleeping Beauty, 1959.
101 Dalmatians, 1961.
The Sword in the Stone, 1963.
The Jungle Book, 1967.
The Aristocats, 1970.
Robin Hood, 1973.
The Many Adventures of Winnie-The-Pooh, 1977.
The Rescuers, 1977.
The Fox and the Hound, 1981.
The Black Cauldron, 1985.
The Great Mouse Detective, 1986.
Oliver and Company, 1988.
The Little Mermaid, 1989.
The Rescuers Down Under, 1990.
Beauty and the Beast, 1991.
Aladdin, 1992.
The Lion King, 1994.
Pocahontas, 1995.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1996.
Hercules, 1997.
Mulan, 1998.
Tarzan, 1999.
Fantasia 2000, 2000.
The Emperor's New Groove, 2000.

Disney's historically been weirdly finicky about which films are and are not included in the official Disney Animated Canon. There are supposedly fifty films as of "Tangled". Looking over your list, there are a few films that are *sometimes* listed among the Canon that you haven't included.

The one most often included as part of the Canon is also the most interesting: "Victory Through Air Power". It is, essentially, an animated documentary. It's about why airplanes and geography were surprisingly important factors during World War Two. You can find it in one of the "Treasures" sets (I think it's simply called "Disney's Wartime Animation" or something) and I've rented this DVD through Netflix.

Since "Saludos Amigos", "Three Caballeros" and other films with live-action are always included in the Canon by some animation historians, they also naturally include "Enchanted", "Song of the South", "Mary Poppins", etc., and another fascinating little historical oddity called "The Reluctant Dragon" (a hilariously inaccurate look behind the scenes at Disney -- made during their very turbulent strike). Heck, some historians count "TRON" in the Canon too!

Weirdly, the CGI films produced by Disney are always counted among the Canon except for "Dinosaur"... except when "Dinosaur" is considered part of the Canon. Yeah, this one film is confusing.

So unless Disney has an Official Official List we could look at somewhere, I couldn't say for sure what's on the Canon, what isn't, and what the reasoning behind whether a film gets to be in the Canon or not. Hope this helps.

Huh, that's very odd. You wouldn't mind recapping their countdown for those of us who sadly lack in the blue ray department, would you please?

And at this point, I should probably shamelessly plug this.
