How Long does the Pirate League makeover take?

Just wondering how long to plan for this.

Also we're going at the end of August... will the makeup stay on or will they sweat it off quickly? Just trying to figure if it's worth the $30 for each kid. We're hoping to do the Wishes dessert party the same night and I know they would love to be dressed up for that too.

Thanks!

Wow! $30 for 30 minutes... I'm just not sure if it's worth the cost.

Depends what you're counting as 'worth it'!

The makeover may only take 40 or so mins (from what I've read) but that's the makeover etc (the secret stuff). Don't forget you're then wearing the stuff for the rest of the day and you get bits to take with you/keep. We did the BBB in 2008 and it was cool and that was £50. We're doing the PL makeover this year because every report I've read said they loved it. THere is a whole thread on it somewhere on here.

Guess it depends whether you are doing it for the fun and experience or just the makeover itself. We do it for the experience and I'm thrilled that the price dropped to $30.

We booked it for our May trip - we were told 30-40 minutes. Not sure why it wouldn't be worth it? They get to experience the makeover, then enjoy being a for the rest of the day! I suggest going over to allearsnet.com - they have some really great info and pictures of the *experience*.

I was thinking $30 was a bargain!! Especially for something at WDW!

I'm considering this as a surprise for DS(will be)6 in September. I'm really glad to have been reading all of the positive reviews, too.

Plan on 45 - face itself takes 30, but you do other things as well. Plus, add more time if you're purchasing a costume. Not to mention, sometimes there's a wait... If you want to make sure you'll have enough time 90 min would be good.

I know the girl from the allears.net/blog article - she's a whack job!

Me too :-) We were going to book it at $50 so I was extremely pleased with the $30.

I guess I'm just trying to keep costs down and we're already hoping to do the Wishes Dessert party that night. Plus I have two boys so it's really $60+. I know my 6 year old would think it's the coolest thing ever... I guess I have to think about it a little.
