That is wonderful that you get to fly first class, I am SO happy you are doing this trip up right...and in my lack of culture, I didn't know first class even HAD its own lounge!!! I have only been on a plane a handful of times (LOVED it each time except when Lisa and I were flown to Philly in the Lear jet...I was much too worried to enjoy the "surrealness" of that for someone like me).

Sounds like you are VERY organized and have everything under control as you go into the home stretch...how exciting! I hope today's birthday celebrations are LOADS of fun for everyone and that the support group meeting brought some tools to continue to help you and Megan as you navigate these unchartered waters. thanks all! the party was good....Megan got some $$ and GC for disney trip...a book, nerf guns?? not sure why?? a collectable barbie, target GC !
my mom, brother, sil, nephew, FIL & his lady friend, BIL his two kids, Jim's cousin and her DD were there so was a full house!
the weather was actually sunny so we got to be outside in the sun for a bit!

our counseling group is great....Megan goes to her age and I'm in with parents so we both get a lot of great insight....this week focused on anger issues and how to work through them with relaxation tips....so far neither of us have had the anger, but it may raise its ugly head some day so its nice to have the tools we willneed!

Judy....some day we will meet and Lisa will get a sleep over with Megan I know it in my heart it will happen!

First class is a big splurge for this trip, but since its our ultimate dream trip I gave Megan the option of this or staying in a moderate for the whole trip...she choose to stay at POP again and then we added AKL later when I got a pin for it! The lounge is supposed to be great....the one here at SeaTac even has a machine you get to make your own fresh pancakes! we will probably never get to fly first class again, so plan on enjoying all the perks...well not the free alcohol...but the rest will be such a treat for us!


Today, getting my laundry caught up....have a new Big Give to work on so I can get it in the mail tomorrow and have Megan clean her room and her side of our office she will also get all her things together she wants to bring on the plane!

I want to let everyone know that I am a member on the Big give site as well and it really is rewarding to share a little something with some of the MAW families. I also want to put in a good word for Lisa because not only is she a member, I think she participates in every single Big Give that gets posted. She is always there to help out. And along with her daughter Megan, she is working on a project to get blankets and stuffed animals to an orphanage being developed in Haiti. So Lisa, since you don't tute your own horn I'm doing it for you!

oh, how could I not do the BG, those girls are just so adorable! took me about 30 minutes to put it all together inbetween laundry loads!

Family can be such a blessing or really hurt us... Glad you got through it without too much I know the WISH family will be so incredbly blessed by ALL of the BG generosity...but you could have NOT done anything, you had a great reason to NOT do this one...but that just isn't in your heart and that is why I you! I agree, they ARE adorable! Thanks again for calling, it is always such a pleasure!

all of Megan's clothes are pulled and waiting in my room to be packed tomorrow!
goal is for 2 suitcases and each a carry on! wish me luck!

Thanks for the update. I love how Megan is so excited for the trip. First Class sounds like a fun splurge. As for the lounge, this might be the one time you don't mind getting to the airport extra early!

we are always early to the airport....just my over planning and hate to be late to anything!


we received some more pixie dust today in the mail....Andrea, one of the ladies from the Disboutiquers made Megan and I fabric luggage tags...Megan's is Minnie, mine is Tink! they are so cute!

Wow you got those quickly!!! I mailed them late Thursday afternoon and just sent them first class. I guess the speedy new pony delivered them rather than the old nearly retired ones that are taking your packages to Canada and your PA shipment as well

I know you make such cute luggage tags as well, but thought you can never have too many things to help identify your bags at the airport.

Yay on getting today's packing done! Didn't you already ship some things down? It may be more economical and less hassel to ship some things back home as well depending on how much you buy.

And I looked up my package to Canada (didn't add tracking) and it says it was processed (dropped off in one city and processed at our adjacent airport city) and is on it's way to it's destination. It didn't say if it was going by Kentucky Derby winner or an old mule, so time will tell.
