Blurb Book

I have created a blurb book of our wedding photos for our parents and grandparents for Christmas if anyone wants to check it out. I don't have the patients to put many more pictures on photobucket so this is the only way to show more of my pictures online.

I love the blurb book! All the pics are amazing, but I LOVE the MK ones! I would love to go back and do that some day. I really love the AK ones too, you got a lot of different pics than I had. I really like the one on the train tracks!

Thanks! I think the train track ones are my favorites as well. It would be very cool if we ended up on the same Alaskan Cruise

not one of our photographers caught me laughing during the ceremony as the videographer almost fell in the flowers while trying to get a better shot... too bad.

It was a mini ice cream sandwich thingy (clearly that's the techincal term for it) with delicious Italian cookies and lots of whipped cream and a chocolate disc. I enjoyed it immensely as the parents and I walked through a nearly deserted World Showcase for the second time that week

Blurb Book

So I just checked out the blurb book (again - I am aware that you already showed it to me) and I thank you (start sensing sarcasm here) for that lovely picture of me ever so gracefully getting to my knees to "fix" your shoe (a staged photo op everyone from Randy to the videographers wanted).
You didn't tell the story of my dress so I will here...

I ordered my dress the same time Sam did (ie the September before the August wedding) and it arrived and fit perfectly... Until I started this new job working 10-12 hrs on my feet and walking stairwells and suddenly the perfect dress was ah... Let's say loose. So a month before the wedding I went in for a fitting and the fabulous boutique owner pins me in and tells me everything will be wonderful... but come back in two weeks to try it on just in case. So we go back (now two weeks to the wedding) and I attempt to try the dress on.
And by attempt I mean I step in Sam goes behind me to zip me up and says the hook won't do up I say "really?" and happen to breath out. Sam proceeds to quickly pull the zipper to the top hook the hook and go "oh there it goes" mean while I absolutely cannot breath the dress is so tight and let out a strange strangled noise, which makes Sam laugh, which makes me laugh (and since I can't breath that doesn't go well...) The owner's now calling through the curtain asking if everything is alright I say the dress is a little tight and come out for her to look at it. She tells me to relax (which is really easy when you're laughing and can't breath) undoes the dress and decides to let it out about and inch and a half and tells us to come back the next day...
So the next day we troop back to the bridal store and I try on the dress and Sam can actually do it up this time so we call it good enough... Even though I'm still basically unable to bend in the slightest bit while wearing the dress - thus my odd body language while attempting to find the floor...

Sorry that was a long story...

Day 12 - Dinner at Cali Grille

We took no photos of our meal OR the fireworks as I did not want DH to bring his whole camera bag with his SLR in it to dinner.

We arrived a little early for our reservation and after checking in and being escorted up the elevator with a few other guests we settled in the lounge for a drink before dinner. A had a glass of the most amazing reisling which I no longer remember the name of. After checking allears.net and disneyworld.com I believe Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube is the one that I had. DH had a glass of the Marquis Philips, SE Australia Syrah which he also really enjoyed. While we were still enjoying our wine our table was ready. We were escorted to a lovely window table that was sprinkled with with Mickey confeti

We started with the spicy Kazan roll. We thought the sushi at Tokyo dining was amazing but this... crab, shrimp, bay scallops, tuna and fireball sauce pure deliciousness. And I know we had a flatbread I believe it was the Chef's Garden flatbread, I do know it was delicious as well.

I know I had the filet and I think DH had the pork tenderloin. I liked my filet but I am not a big smokey flavour fan so I did not enjoy the sauce even though I normally love teriyaki on my beef. DH loved his main. We each had another glass of wine with dinner I know I stuck with the reisling, DH may have had a different wine but I think he stuck with the syrah. then came dessert

I love banana desserts and I love lemon desserts, DH is more into banana so he had the bananas and caramel while I tried the lemon cheesecake. I had serious dessert envy! DH's dessert was AMAZING!!!!! mine was good but his

He offered to let me have his or order another but I stuck it out... after tasting quite a few bites of his

Day 13 - Tues Aug 17

Today we were going to DHS and then MK to Wishes for the first time from inside the park with dinner at the Plaza.

We got to the park in time for opening as I thought TSMM was open for it's last day before refurb. I miscalculated and we found out it was closed during the opening ceremony. I remember having trouble with TOT and RRC everytime we were in DHS this trip. I believe today was the day that RRC was not open until about 20 minutes after park opening... unless it was the day TOT was closed for about 2 hours right at park opening no luck with my favourite rides on this trip... we always had long long lines for them.

Our lunch reservation was at 2:10 and by about 1pm DH (who told me I was over-scheduling multiple times before we left) was hot and hungry and wanted food. We headed over to 50's PT to see if they could squeeze us in early. No such luck but there were a couple seats at the bar so we sueezed in there to wait. I had a cherry coke while we were waiting and DH had a beer. We were finally called just about at our reservation time and escorted to a table close to the back of the restaurant.

We had a fun server and were placed next to 2 larger groups which was fun because we got to see them get scolded by our server and another server nearby. I left to go to the washroom right away and while I was gone DH was yelled at for having his hat on at the table. When I came back we ordered appetizers I had the Blue Claw Crab Cake and DH had (I believe) Aunt Annie's Seafood Salad.

Both were very good. I have very little recollection of our entrees... I think I had the Fish Sandwich and I do not recall what DH had... maybe the Meatloaf?

We were full but our server encouraged us to order dessert. We had the 50's Boston Cream Cupcake which was very good, I'd definately order it again.

Day 13 - Tues Aug 17 Part 2

We skipped out of DHS just after lunch and headed back to the resort as we were planning on being in MK until the fireworks that night. We arrived in MK about 6:30 or 7pm for our 8:40 reservation at the Plaza. We wandered for a bit and lo and behold DH who thought that we really wouldn't need the late reservation that night was hungery (quiet internal )! Sorry hun but we have dinner in about an hour (from this point) well let's see if we can check in early. We head over to the Plaza and it's packed! They said they would try but that they were currently a little behind as it was. We sat on the wall nearby and people watched for about an hour. Just before we were seated a large group came to the restaurant they had made a booking for the next night but wanted (neaded) it for that night instead. They said they tried to book it for the correct night but nothing was available so they booked it for the next night instead... that made no sense to me but they argued with the greeter that they needed to be seated as soon as possible. Luckily we were soon seated but I think they may have guilted the restaurant into seating them.

We were seated and asked for our drink order (I had to laugh and remind DH that there's no beer in the MK!) When our server brought our drinks she also brought us a surprise... the new beanie style bride and groom ears!

She was fantastic! I think I head the cheesesteak sandwich and DH had the burger but the only thing I really remember is our server running to the Bakery to see if they had any vinegar for DH's french fries! And the ears of course. I'm at work so I don't have the picture the server took of us wearing our new ears but that she would do that for us!

Final Thoughts and Favorite Memories

We had the BEST time on our entire honeymoon.

At Hoop-Dee-Doo Review we were upgraded from our category 3 seats to front row center table where they played with us a little when they asked about special occasions in the restaurant. The view was fantastic and as it was the last show of the night they went a little crazier than I thought they might have been for earlier shows, scolding my husband for looking at the girls legs during the can-can section

Everywhere we went, every cast member we saw congratulated us. At one point I was in DHS away from DH for a moment and calling my sister to figure out where to meet her as we were all having lunch together. During our 5 minute phone call I kept saying "Thanks" over and over, she finally asked me what was happening and I said, "everyone I pass is congratulating me" I wasn't even with my husband!

At Tren-D I was wanting to buy a Dooney for my honeymoon and DH and I went in to look at the bags, I was deciding between a Princess bag or a sketch satchel and I wanted to see them in person. When the cast members at the counter saw our just married pins they asked when we were married, when I said last week at the YC they were so excited they wanted to know all about the wedding and how we had planned it... they were thrilled!

Lots of guest stopped us to tell us how they too had honeymooned at WDW however many years ago and to congratulate us and wish us well. That was lots of fun as well.

On our last waterpark day we returned our rental car only to find out that the desk wasn't manned even though they were supposed to be open and even though we had called and asked they had no one to drive us to Blizzard Beach

When someone finally showed up we dropped off the car and took a cab to BB. The day was a little dreary and rainy but we had booked a cabana for the day and already pre-paid so we were going! We rode most of the major slides and were climing to the top of one of the double slides when I kicked a concrete stair on our way to the top and broke one of my toes

We rode the slide down and I went to first-aid to have it taped up and the DH rode a few more slides and I sat under our umbrella and read for a bit but I was cold and miserable and we left without really getting our money's worth out of the cabana just after lunch. Our cabana attendants were much less attendant than the one at TL the week before.

We had dinner at Les Chef De France so after a bit of a rest and some more medical tape we headed off to Epcot at a pretty slow pace for dinner. The food was amazing and so was the service. The only downside to the meal was when I tried to look out the window, hit my head on a bar accross it and burst into tears for no apparent reason out of shear frustration for my own clumsiness that day!

I spent the rest of the trip limping a bit but we still had lunch with an imagineer the next day so we headed off to the parks.

We had saved our limo to take us to the airport and the driver arrived on time to help us to the car with our luggage and have breakfast at Chef Mickey's before our sad flight home.

The last night on our way out of the parks we got on a resort bus with a mother and 2 kids who had lost her husband in the crowd at the bus stop and ended up on a bus without him and their 3rd child. As Dh and I each had the pre-paid cells we had bought and both still had minutes on them we gave them to the family (as they were fellow Canadians who hadn't brought their due to roaming fees) so that they would be able to comunicate easier in the parks.

At Chef Mickey's we had a last picture taken of us while we waited for our table and DH and I are 90% sure the woman who took the picture of us was the mom from the night before with our cell phones!

Original Bride and Groom Ears

Hey Sam...
(I'll say "bump" ‘cause I can and I did ) Loved the trip report I wanted to add how fantastic the people at the Disney Florist were. I called a couple of weeks before the trip and ordered the "Ears to the Bride and Groom" package so that Sam and Wes would have their "ears" right from the beginning of the trip. The woman I spoke with was wonderful and explained that they were now using the new beanie style bride and groom ears and I said that for the bride ears I would really prefer the headband style ears as I knew that Sam couldn't really wear a beanie with all her hair. I also mentioned that I knew Wes loved the top hat style ears but that I was aware they were fazing them out.
When I arrived Saturday and saw Sam and Wes for the first time I was thrilled to see that they had been able to find both the headband ears for her and a top hat for him (many people were envious!)
