Pirate Night When we got back from our room from dinner we had a fun pirate towel animal waiting for us! ![]() I went up deck to see some of the pirate night and see what the buffet looked like (although I didn't eat anything) I hadn't changed from Remy thus I didn't stay on deck for long as it was so windy that wearing a loose dress, it was a constant battle. I gave up. Next cruise I'll make sure I change before going up to that deck. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Fish Extender Gifts We did the FE for our cruise and it was great fun! We only had about 7 cabins and I found that was just enough to not take away much time from the cruise enjoyment. Our loot! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Its kinda like a secret santa gift exchange among people in your meet thread that want to partake in it. If you want to participate you make a small little gift for everyone that is in the group (some make cabin only gifts some do cabin gifts + each child gifts) Its tons of fun to have some surprises waiting for you at random times!

Morning and Palo Brunch When we woke up this morning, my tan from the day before had set in. I realized when looking at this tan - it wasn't really even. Since we had nothing going on until the Palo Brunch, I decided to go upstairs and layout on Deck 12 for a while and read, sans sunscreen. The upper deck in the Adult Cove area was empty! I spent about 2 hours enjoying myself out there until I headed back to the room. My husband had by then woken up and got ready for our brunch. We then headed to guest services to get our tips prepaid and then headed up to Palo! We checked in and shortly were seated in the back section and greeted by our server. He asked if we would like champagne or a mimosa and escorted us to the buffet to explain all the offerings. ![]() The offerings were similar to those on the Magic and Wonder. My only complaint is that instead of tongs, they had a fork/knife at each selection plate and they were kinda a pain to get certain items due to that. My husband's plate! ![]() My plate! ![]() We both enjoyed our plates a lot. I was shocked that my husband didn't go back for more crab legs but his loss, I guess. We ordered a pizza when we sat down with our plates as I told my husband how good they were on the Magic. ![]() ![]() They still were amazingly good! I'm glad we split one between the two as we still had more to come. When our pizza arrived we ordered our entree selections. I went with the pasta dish with smoked salmon because it looked really good on the selection table. ![]() TBH, I didn't try it when it was served. The smell of the dish just didn't hit me right and I couldn't eat it. I think by this point in the cruise I had too much rich food that my body was telling me no more! I felt really bad about that :/ MY husband had the chicken parm. ![]() He loved it! Next up for us was the desserts. I had a modest selection as did my husband as we both were full by this point. ![]() Everything we had was amazingly good! We wished we had more room to stuff it all in with but alas we couldn't. Looking out we did get to see a cargo ship past us.

Hello DisYoda-
So glad you are writing a trip report, we had such an amazing time! I still can't beleive it's over, we planned soooo long and the days went by so quickly. We spent a week at the parks before the cruise and then B2B'ed the Dream. I have to say the weather at CC and crowds were better on the 4 night. On 3 night following, there was 1100 more people (althought certain most were with the AFV filming crew) and the weather at CC was chilly and it began to rain around 2:30. Looking forward to the rest of your TR! |

Early Afternoon Adventures After Palo, we went back to the room to change into something more comfortable and explored the ship some more. ![]() View from the virtual porthole! The DVC thing was going on with a chance for $300 on board credit and we thought why not? We had nothing else to really do. ![]() I knew way too many of the question's answers but I tried to behave myself but I did win a 'cool' prize - a wooden box. ![]() As much as we would love to buy into DVC, we just can't justify it. Within a year (or sooner after some job issues popped up after I returned) we want to be living in Florida. If we are within an hour or so of Disney, having DVC just doesn't make too much sense for us unless we bought a 50 point contract just so we could have the additional discounts. We didn't win the credit and were on our way to explore more of the ship. ![]() ![]() It was getting close to my time for the wine tasting so my husband and I parted ways!

Wine Tasting I headed up to Meridian where the Wine Tasting was to be held. I was a little bit early so I sat outside in the cigar area and read until it was time. The tables and little drink tables were set up for about 20 wine tasters. Only about 7 showed up. Sadly a lot of that wine went to waste since we ran over on time. ![]() ![]() ![]() The talk was ok. I've done a lot of wine tastings through Disney but this seemed to be less about the wine we were drinking and more about what the Dream offers and the various terms there are out there for wine. In fact 3 weeks out I can't recall what the wines were other than the champagne was the Dream's special label. For the cost it was ok. I'm not sure I would do it again though.

Whiskey Tasting After the wine tasting, I ran back to the room for a few minutes and pick up the Wave Phone that was charging and headed back down to Pink for my Whiskey Tasting. The lounge was set up for about 10 people to taste 4 different whiskeys. ![]() ![]() ![]() Well at the time it was suppose to start, I was the only one. The host decided to wait a few minutes and we chatted. Turns out her first contract was when I was on my first DCL cruise and laughed over some stories about a certain individual. Eventually 2 other people showed up and we could get started. She went over the history of Whiskey really well along with the tasting notes of different ones. I discovered I still can not handle Jameson after a really bad night when I turned 21 but I loved the Johnny Walker and the other brand I can't remember its name now. The 4th selection was Maker's Mark but I drink that at home so I knew I would enjoy it. We also got a small sip of one of the really expensive whiskeys that I should have written down as it was amazing. We ran over in time and I looked my phone and realized my husband called me 7 times! Eek. So I left and went back to the room. ![]() We both were a little hungry so we walked up to the pool deck for a small snack. I had a chicken finger and my husband had some ice cream.
