Yes, you do get what you get, but we made a request and it was noted on our confirmation, no guarantee but it doesn't hurt to mention it.

Reports have come in that they will not longer allow you to request a view for a value.

Don't forget to click and make the image larger it makes it much easier to read. The rooms over the entrance that are not colored are not DVC accomidations but AKL. All standard view at Jambo has a pool view.

Values 40% savannah, 40% pool and 20%parking lot.

New member trying to figure this out for an upcoming trip...

savannah view rooms would be fifth floor only?
concierge rooms would be floor 6 only (with no guarantee of view)?so if you booked CL room you would not be guaranteed to get a savannah view?

No, villas in Jambo House are located on the fifth and sixth floors. There are five two bedroom lockoffs on the sixth floor - three are savanna view and two are pool view. But both views are blocked somewhat by the roof. But you get the concierge lounge and ability to book the Sunrise Safari (that costs extra). The villas on the fifth floor are standard (pool view and blocked savanna views), savanna view and value villas (parking lot, pool and savanna, but you cannot request a view with the value villas).

If you don't own at AKV it is very difficult to get the concierge villas. They go quickly at 11 months out.

So some of the CL rooms are SV but not good ones, not as good as the ones you would get by booking a regular SV from your points.

I do own at AKL (new member) but due to the time period when out contract was finalized, we were only at the 7 mth window by then....have a reservation for SV but waitlisted for CL for our trip!

Exactly. If you really want a nicer savanna view, you want to book Savanna view instead of Concierge villas. The best reason to book Concierge villas is to get the Sunrise Safari, the concierge lounge offerings and daily fully cleaning (including turndown service).
