Can you tell me where the DVC rooms are located. I looked at the map and they appear to be in the main lobby. I am confused do these rooms look out on the Pool area from the Main Lobby? I have never been to AKL so I cannot got a grasp of the Map...

If you look on the outer white part it tells you what you are looking at. For example 5313 is overlooking Arusha savannah, 5426 overlooks the pool, 5135 overlooks the front entrance. See?

DVC is only on 5th and 6th floor (concierge) so the room that are by the lobby are actually above it. Does that help? The door to the room maybe facing the lobby(but 5 floors up) but looking out on the balcony you will see the pool if that is the view you have reserved.

The opening ceiling in the lobby is 5 stories high.

There are no DVC villas on the fourth floor. Just the fifth and sixth at Jambo House. On the sixth floor there are only five two bedroom lockoffs.

I am still confused.. sorry. Looking at the map I posted... someone said that 2 rooms overlook the parking lot are Standard View numbers 5135? Are ALL the standard view rooms DVC lock off's on floor 4? 5? 6? or all three.

Where are the VALUE rooms located. I am trying to decide on if to keep my waitlist for Value.

Sorry if I was confusing. That map you posted was of the fifth floor so I was just giving examples of what those room numbers would be overlooking.... I picked the blue one-bedrooms because they were easier to read. I didn't realize what you were trying to figure out. But if you are now talking value studio villa at Jambo I think the views vary by location. Parking lot, pool, savannah, etc. I bet someone here will know more about exactly where those rooms are located. Looking at your map I can't tell which studios are value. I know they are the smaller ones because that's what makes them different from regular studios. They are value because of their size not their location. Good luck!

Yes, sixth floor is all concierge and you have an elevator key that gets you up there.

Yes, those are the Concierge villas. All the two bedrooms at Jambo House are lockoffs. There are no dedicated two bedrooms there.

And, yes, the value villas are value because they are about three feet shorter and they do not have the extra sleeper chair in the one and two bedroom villas. They are scattered around like TigrLvsPooh says.

I think I read somewhere that half of all the value villas are savannah view. So that's decent odds.

We are in the Standard View Lock Off 2 bedroom. I am waitlisted for a 2 bedroom Value but if the Standard View Lock off 2 bedroom guarantees a Pool View then I might take off my Waitlist IF the Value views are to scattered to know where you will be.

All of the value villas are located on either Giraffe or Ostrich trail, with a pool, parking lot or savannah view. We stayed in a two bedroom value and it was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. I had requested a pool view but we were given a savannah view and it was very nice. I liked that it was at the front of the building and very easy to get to lobby, pool and bus stop from this area.

DVC doesn't allow requests for type of view for the value villas. You get what you get.
