Chilly 4.0 The Quadrilogy - Day 10 - The DIS Discussion Forums

Monday 4th October 2010

Quick breakfast again, Muffin for DH and a croissant for me with my "stolen" jam, I pick up a knife this time from the other counter and find they do have jam! We arrive at Universal about 9:30am, it is much busier than last time which we thought was odd as last time it was a Sunday and we thought that would have been busier than a Monday.

First up is the Forbidden Forest, this time I feel the sickest and doubt I'll ride it again. We head to Flight of the Hippograff but its a 40 minute wait, no thanks, we try Olivanders but that's a 1 hour 15 minute wait, no way.

We go in all the shops and I spend lots of DH's money on 2 T-Shirts, a keyring, a chocolate frog, and some every flavoured beans.

Next up a lovely butterbeer, the first place we queue runs out so we have to queue twice, well DH does, just as lovely as the first time though and worth the wait and we have a sit down while we enjoy it. We head round to Jurassic River Ride, 40 minute queue, no thanks again, so we head to the Marvel area and DH buys a t-shirt.

We check out the tip board and notice all the big rollercoasters have short queues, and all the family rides have long queues, it used to be the other way round, the Harry Potter effect I guess. We ask in Mythos how long the wait is but its 45 mins so again we don't wait and instead head out to citywalk. We check out the NBA shop but there is nothing worth buying. We eat in Margaritaville, a Mexicali Burger and a Monterry Chicken Sandwich.

I get another t-shirt at one of the stalls, it says I Love Vampires. We head into Universal and go to the animal show then head back to our hotel after trying on some hats for a swim, but instead I fall asleep. After my nap we walk around the resort, down to Riverside and back again.

Back in our room we freshen up and then head over to the poly for our ADR at Ohana, we arrive 20 minutes early but they are running 15 minutes late, no problem, we hit the bar, Very Berry Punch for me, Pina Colava for DH.

Our buzzer goes off exactly 15 minutes after our ADR time. The food is great as always, this time the entertainer is a man, we've always had a woman before, I prefer the man.

Neither of us likes the pudding so he brings us ice cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles!

We finish eating at the perfect time and head to the beach to watch Wishes from a hammock. We stay there for a while letting our dinner goes down. We had planned to go to EMH at Magic Kingdom but we are both tired and I now have sand in my shoes which means not a very nice walking experience so back to our hotel we go via a shortcut we find.

We didnt go through the conservatory at HP makes me wonder if that part is only open when its really busy ??
