I don't think it is so much an issue of being older or how she is dressed, but the energy level is not the same. Definitely less enthusiasm.

Dowdy or not, I think she's hot She's the only reason I kept watchin the clips over and over again when I was in the room.

But she's Joanie from Happy Days!

Do you have a bandanna tied around your leg like Chachi?

Semi-seriously, her attractiveness to me is limited by her resemblance to Joanie. Let's just say I don't share Chachi's taste in women.

She's 42, so I think they wanted her to calm down a bit and not act like a teenager any longer.

Of course if they *did* start serving alcohol at MK, I would be first in line, but it doesn't rent space in my head or anything

NorthernDisneyGirl-I am soooo jealous you got to meet her! Our family loves her. Sometimes I watch the Top 7 on youtube just to get a fix!

I think in the original Top 7, she was perfect, because she was sexy enough in her tankini at the water parks to keep my hubby interested...yet she seemed approachable and friendly for us moms! I really admired her buff arms and shoulders.

I was surprised when I found out her age. I think she looks fabulous. I agree, in the latest show (I forget what it is even called) I don't think she is at her best.

I don't think she looks anything like Joanie.

Anyway, I am a fan, and do prefer the Top 7 to the new show.

In the past I've seen many threads on how "annoying" Stacey was with all that energy, now that she's toned down she "boring." The woman can't win.

I like the more peppy version myself, it makes you want to go out to the parks and have as much fun as she looks like she is having!

She actually took time out of filming to shake our hands, sign our autograph book and take a photo!! You can read about our experience in the following link!!!

Meeting Stacy!!!!!

Oh wow, luckiest people alive i reckon!

Are you sure you are thinking of Stacey and not Erin from the 2005 planning DVD? I think Erin looks a lot like Joanie. Stacey...not so much.

I also agree Northern Disney Girl's family were the luckiest people in the park that day

<3 Stacey

Turning on the tv and watching the "must sees" is a "must do" for me every Disney trip

Stacey should be the Top Must See at Disney

ITA!!

I loved the original top 7. Yes, she was peppy, but I'm sure she was directed that way, and it did work to get us excited. I doubt that she was really that hyper in real life, at least all the time.

Likewise, I think on the new one, she seems to be heavily directed,or told exactly what to do, how to stand, etc. The way she walks is so awkward. I don't blame her because she was so natural and smooth on the old one. So I'm thinking they are letting her be herself less, and it doesn't look nearly as good.

Also I liked the old script (or ad-libs) much better. It may have been silly but at least peolpe had fun quoting her/speaking along with her. Now it's a boring script with 101 ways to use the phrase "must do. "

That is possible. But I still think Stacey looks like her too.
