That would be so cool to sew a quilt! I wish my sewing machine worked, or even that I knew how to use it. I took it to a friend who sews, and she couldn't figure out what was up with it either.... She said to take it to a sewing shop and have them look at it and see if they could fix it, but I really don't have the money right now- so it will have to wait. And I don't have quite the patience to hand sew a whole quilt I don't think. I dunno. It might be fun to try!

Aleks would probably crap herself to get any mail from people. She loves mail! I think all kids do. She loves those bands. They really aren't band to wear, and I am on the "Pooh" sized end, and I can stillwear them to make her happy. Davy even wears them! It's funny. He has dinosaur ones and she has music and all kinds of other ones, but she hasn't got flower ones or hearts.

nothing really going on here lately. nothing planned yet, although I want to start up so bad- but the trip is over a year away! sigh!

Nice thought, but I won't need to expand to another.... heck! It's just me and you over here anyway...... But I am ready for a screaming fit for my trip. You get to go soon though!!!

Went to the park with Davy yesterday. He had a blast! Played soccer with some boys, and on the playground with some other kids and even went on a nature hike! He collected lots of treasures to bring home to daddy too.

These are all from right before Aleks got home from the summer. Davy LOVES trains! His 2nd birthday is the 26th this month and he is having a Chuggington party! Maybe if he still likes trains later, we will have his party at this museum. They even have train cars all fixed up for parties! He would love that!

Oh I loveeee the pictures ! too cute My son use to own a lil train set when he was younger, and if we go up to a town a bit north of where we are they still have trains running. Tracks where we live are out of commission, so we use them as nature trails now which they named the "Maine Rail Trail"

We went to the zoo on Saturday- I will have to post pics! We even rode the little train that goes around the kids area- we have never done that before as it costs extra and we really don't have the money right now... but we do have our season pass, so we can go to the zoo whenever. I can't wait until they have the trick or treat at the zoo thing next month! Kids will love it!

Also, we want to do the train or treat at the train museum!!! I plan lots of activities that are free or very cheap in the fall. It's my fav season!!! Hiking, pumpkins, leaves changing colors! I love it all!!!

We had a great Labor Day weekend!!! Hope everyone else's was great too!

Friday we just chilled at the house after shopping at Walmart, nothing amazing there.... but for some reason, my kids love Walmart!

Sat was the zoo of course. We had a great time there!

Sun was church and out to eat with Nana and shopping at Target. Got some great clearance deals there (or at least my mother did... I am kinda broke, so I only spent $5)

And today we went to Nana's house and grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs and ate watermelon while the kids played on their buzz lightyear slip n slide and with Davy's little pool (he loves the hose!).

Tomorrow is picture day for Aleks at school. And now I am trying to get Davy to win a cover baby contest! If he gets enough votes on Facebook through a friends kids mag here in GA- he gets to be on the cover and I get prints of the pics!!! So PM me if you want to help me out!!

I guess I may stop writing my PTR for now.... seems kinda pointless at the moment. Trip isn't for a year and I am the only one here....

I dunno, it's a good venting place and somewhere to be other than facebook I guess.... I need a job! I gotta do something other than sit around all day and clean and watch Davy. I love him to death and all, but I need some time out the house I think. I need a part time job, but only from like 9-2 or 3, so DH can still sleep for his job. He works nights, so he sleeps during the day and daycare is too expensive. Hmmmm

Wahoo! I am very excited today! I am getting a pen pal!!!!! I haven't done this sort of thing in years, and it is soooo cool! I can't wait to get started! My DH will think I am insane, but who cares! I love to write people and love getting mail too! This is going to be great! Hurray for the disboards! And hurray for nice people letting me into the pen pal exchange late!!!

I just found your PTR & enjoyed reading it. I've been writing one too. I'm also going in Sept, but this year! I can't believe you have a year to wait! But, I definitely think you did the right thing. Going in Sept is the only way we can afford it!
My b/day was in March, but I'm saying this is my 40th birthday trip in Sept.
I am a Harry Potter fan too! I wish I could go the WWOHP, but maybe another time.

He will be soooo wired tomorrow- they are going to have buses as the theme for the day (we go once a month). He wants to ride the bus so badly since watching his sister in the mornings. He cries when it leaves without him-so we try not to take him to the bus stop too often. He will love going on a bus tomorrow!! I am very excited for him.

Where in SC are you? I was born in Charleston and still have lots of family there. We go at least once a year to visit- most times twice!

We live in the upstate. Charleston is beautiful! I have several relatives that live there.
