21 day dining plan tour - day 16 - chill day & wishes & mk late night
DAY 16 - Rest Day - 'Wishes' - Magic Kingdom Extra Magic Hours
Today was an easy day, as we had nothing planned. We started off with a now regular trip to Port Orleans Riverside food court for breakfast. I really feel that OKW suffers due to the lack of a good food court.   After breakfast, we returned to OKW and decided to have a few hours in the quiet pool. When we arrived at the pool, Martins family were already there, so we joined them in the pool.   After a few hours, we returned to our room, and I caught up with my trippie. (it is surprising how time consuming trip reports are – writing up – selecting and loading photos etc.) Emma had stayed at the pool with Martins family, so we went to collect her from there resort room some time later. Tonight was EMH in Magic Kingdom, so all families arranged to meet later in the evening. Around 9:30 , we drove over to MK and caught the tram to T&TC. I had taken my tripod & DSLR so that I could photograph Wishes from the T&TC Ferry terminal. You are quite a distance away across 7 Seas Lagoon but you are looking at the castle, head on and the firework display from here is quite good, but you will need a slightly longer lens.          After Wishes was over, I caught the tram back to the parking lot, to put my tripod back in the car. Luckily I was able to catch the same tram back and all families met up, on the bridge to Adventureland in MK. The Electric Parade was soon to start and I was yet to video this, so the rest of the party rode Pirates, whilst I secured a good spot near to Peco Bills. (I WILL UPLOAD VIDEO WHEN I GET HOME - DISNEY NET CONNECTION IS SLOW  ) After the parade was over, we all met up again and headed to Splash Mountain. The wait time was 45 minutes, so we moved on to Haunted Mansion. After HM, a short walk around the corner to watch Philharmagic. A quick stop for refreshments in Cosmic Rays and then onto Mad Hatters Tea Party. I was riding with Emma and Craig. As you can see from the photos, Craig was spinning fast!.   Next, over to Tomorrowland Speedway and a circuit in the dark,  and then moved across to Buzz Lightyear. We decided to give Splash Mountain another try and his time it was walk on. All 9 of us managed to get into one log and we all got soaked at some time or other during the ride. After Splash, we just had enough time to ride Big Thunder Mountain. I always feel this is faster in the dark!. A gentle stroll back to the exit and on our way, we saw CM’s drawing characters on the floor using a broom and water. We left MK near to 3:00am and made our way home. Once we arrived at OKW, I felt a little peckish, so popped over to 24 hour McDonalds near to All Star Resorts for a breakfast bagel. We finally got to bed at 4:00am. RETURN TO TRIP INDEX

We looked at the food court at OKW and it didn't look good at all which is why we upgraded to the full DP. Your photos of Wishes are amazing.

we are in MCO at the moment waiting to board the plane home to Manchester
Just noticed the Virgin Gatwick plane 'Hot Lips' has a nice Harry Potter paint job near the tail Thanks to all who have read so far and for all the kind comment Will post the remaining days when I gat home
