My sister (who did not have her reservation linked was put in Aruba. But she called the next day to have her moved near us and she got put in right next door to me. So we occupied rooms 2604 -2608.

Martinique was so convenient with the food court and pool being so close. Prior to checking in I was indifferent to which building I was assigned to since I have older kids, but now that I had such a great spot, I don't think I would pay for a standard room again because the kids spent so much time in the main pool it was easy to keep tabs on them as we sat by the pool or the cabana bar.
Wow for the Upgrade!!! We always book preferred just because we like the closeness to OPR and pool as well. And we usually request Martinique, its our favorite area. Sounds like you had a great trip!!! We are counting down the days here!!!

Hey everyone!

I am just about to book CBR for me and my boyfriend as a surprise for him, only for one night as we are staying off property and im torn between the pirate room and just standard room with king size bed.

I'd go with the king-sized room for a couple. I find the standard beds are really too small.

Question

Have all of the buildings been refurbished or are some still in the process?

I just called to make a reservation for 2/26-3/5 and they are all booked. Only have king beds available. I'm very surprised they are booked up already. Maybe DH asked for preferred?? I'm going to call them myself.

I may book CSR in the meantime and keep calling back to see if CBR opens up.

We just CBR!

They might not have opened all the rooms for booking yet. I would keep checking back.

Does anyone know if they still sell the Coconuts at the gift shop? A friend of mine wants me to bring one home for her. Can I get that on the plane? Can I put in my carry-on or will I get stopped at security.

Saw them there last January 1. Interesting question- how much liquid is in a coconut? I'd put it in my checked bag. Not like it's something that will easily break. IIRC mailing the things from CBR was expensive but that isn't a problem for you.

The coconut postcards were there the last week of May/first week of June. They are probably 6 inches or so in diameter.

The coconuts sold at the CBR have been drained of liquid.

Now, that, I did not know. Mind, I've never picked one up or even really looked at one.

The coconuts seem to be hit or miss. There are times when I go over they have them, other times they don't.

I have heard so far it is hit or miss to book for next year. Some people can while others can't...and thats all resorts. But if it is truely booked ,that means something is going on, and CBR is the host resort, which means it will be busy, even if they have rooms open up later. And I am wondering, Is that the Princess half marathon weekend? Perhaps they designated resort is CBR for that? Or possibly a cheerleader compettiton. I think I remember reading about one taking place around that time this past year.
