The pirate rooms are in Trinidad South. Trinidad North rooms are considered "preferred location" rooms, and are located roughly halfway between Trinidad South and Old Port Royale where the food court and main pool are located.

We are going to be at CBR on Oct. 17-22. We have never been to disney as a family (we have all been but not all together) and we have never stayed on site so we are super excited about this.

This may be a dumb question but do the room doors open to the outside or the inside? We should be in a preferred room.

You'll have a great time together as a family, and you'll love CBR!! and room doors open to the outside -- first floor to a sidewalk, and second floor to an exterior walkway.

building request

We will be at CBR Aug 5-11. I have been to Disney many times and this will be 2nd stay at CBR. First stay only 2 nights. I was reluctant to stay there after reading a lot of negative reviews but was happy when I stayed last Oct. The grounds are beautiful staff very friendly and helpful I thought the buses came much faster then even some deluxe resorts. I will be bringing my sister and her 2 daughters 5 yr and 12 yr first time visit. Thought theme and pool would make this a good choice. I have requested preferred room. Should I request building or floor? Any one else going this time?

Pirate Cruise Questions

Has anyone (or your kids, I should say) done the Pirate Cruise? Did they enjoy it/reviews? And do they only do it a few times a week?

Where did you get you water from? GardenGrocer or another place. I need to order my water for our trip. Just trying to find a place.

My kids did it in 2009 and loved it! http://www.disboards.com/showthread....2074555&page=6

I believe it is still 3 mornings a week - Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.

I am sorry if this is a redundant question! I stayed at CBR 2.5 years ago with my oldest daughter. We LOVED it! This time the whole family is going and we are really looking forward to the trip. I noticed the Nemo bedding. Is this standard now in all of the rooms? It looks great!

Thanks!

Yes, it is. Except for the POTC rooms, which are a seperate booking category and cost slightly extra per night.

We are just more comfortable with the rooms at the moderates. We talk to dd and just explained that this is everyone's trip and we all want to be happy. She was fine giving up pop.

Can you get a cot and how much are they? It would only be for 2 nights as I'm sure my step son doesn't want to sleep with his sister. He can only get off work for 2 nights. So I'm not sure if I can get the cot for 2 nights or do I have to keep it the entire 9 nights.
Just tell then their is no more Slurpie machine. Once I told my girls their were "I'm not staying at Pop if their is no slurpie machine."

I order mine from Costco and have it shipped to CBR, about $6.99 a case and no shipping fee. I usually order 2 cases for our summer trips.

Grand Gathering upgrade

We just got back and absolutely loved it here! We were a party of 15 (5 rooms). All of our reservations were linked with the exception of my sister's. We all had standard rooms and I did online check-in with no special requests and was very surprised and overjoyed at check-in when I realized they upgraded us to Martinique building 26.

My sister (who did not have her reservation linked was put in Aruba. But she called the next day to have her moved near us and she got put in right next door to me. So we occupied rooms 2604 -2608.

Martinique was so convenient with the food court and pool being so close. Prior to checking in I was indifferent to which building I was assigned to since I have older kids, but now that I had such a great spot, I don't think I would pay for a standard room again because the kids spent so much time in the main pool it was easy to keep tabs on them as we sat by the pool or the cabana bar.
