Pressed pennies

We will be starting a pressed penny collection on our visit to Universal Studios in May 2011 (our first visit). I have a few questions for any collectors on the boards;

1- Where can you purchase pressed penny collector albums at Universal Orlando?

2- Can you get a list of the pressed penny machines anywhere at the parks?

3- Are there any "Harry Potter" related pressed penny machines?

Thanks for your help!

1. The only attraction I remember seeing pressed pennies at is in the Spiderman queue. That said...I'm sure there are locations throughout both parks but I don't usually look for them.

2. I don't know where you'd get a list of locations.

3. Probably but I haven't been over yet so I can't confirm.

Sorry...I guess I wasn't much help.

I've gotten a pressed penny at Jaws before, if that's any help.

Hey Hemlock,

I always look to get a few of the pennies whenever i'm at Universal too. I found a pretty detailed website which is penny collecter . com, without the spaces (Sorry i can't post links yet) You can choose Florida and go down to universal, it has a very detailed section of IOA Pennies.

You can also navigate back through the site it also lists a few other machines around the Universal resort.

Hope this helps!

PS: This is my first post!

My DD loves pressed pennies. There are a ton of pressed penny machines at both parks. There are also machines right outside the parking lots on the walkways. Everywhere I turned there seemed to be another machine. You could easily fill up a pressed penny book, which they sell in most gift shops by the pressed penny machines, in either park. I don't know about a list -- but we didn't ask guest services.

Have fun!

There's also a pressed penny machine at the exit of the Horror Make-Up Show/in the Terminator gift shop. It's sort of half in the exit way and half in the shop.

There are a ton of machines at Universal. I obsessively collect the Disney ones (including variations), and figured I would get a few at Universal. I did find a list, and there were something like 175 different pennies.

Islands of Adventure: http://pennycollector.com/Details.aspx?location=1618
USF: http://pennycollector.com/Details.aspx?location=1587

I don't think there are any in the WWoHP area yet.
