It's 4:30amPST and I am awake again!! East coast to west coast messes me up, I couldn't imagine coming from Tokyo!

We got to the Austin airport this morning at 5am after driving here through the night. Bad thing is that we were here over 4 hours before our flight.
 We went and had some coffee and grub at Waffle House and are now at the gate anxiously waiting for our flight. It's hard to believe we will be in LA in just a few hours! Woohoo!- Bill

Just checked in for our early morning Monday flight. Still fighting my stupid cold, but got a good night's sleep last night, which has to help. Must have my cough and sniffling under control in the morning so they don't take one look at me at the gate and tell me I can't get on the plane.
 Kathy should be there soon! Anxious to hear from her. Have fun all!

Have a great time everyone! I am super jealous that you all get to go for the beginning of food and wine festival. Guy Fieri is going to be there the first two days.
I expect lots of pictures and reports back. We leave for LA on May 23rd!

It's 7:42PST and I'm awake as well.
I'd like to say that I've become an early riser....but this is what happens when you pass out at 10:00PST. Hopefully, things will be a bit more normal tonight. It's 58 degrees here this morning. Had dinner at Shabu Shabu (thanks Nancy!) last night. It was something I've never done before. It's a kind of Japanese fondue where they bring you raw vegetables and meat and you cook it in a pot of boiling water on your table. I never expected to enjoy boiled Kobe beef....but it was delicious and our waitress looked like and talked like Lea Michele from Glee. The food was good and I was deliriously tired. It made for the perfect meal and with the restaurant in the shopping mall attached to the hotel, it made things very easy. John's out getting coffee and it's my turn to get ready. More later. Oh yeah.....we're playng Diser "Catch and Release" today. Be on the look out.
