Here's hoping for no rain, no extreme heat, and no large crowds of people!!!

"I go for those people that retain that something, you know, no matter how old they are; that little spirit of adventure, that appreciation of the world of fantasy and things like that. I go for them. I play to them. There's a lot of them. You know?" - Walt Disney

We are going the week before Memorial Day for our first May trip. What are the temps normally that week? We went last summer and I roasted. I am hoping that May will not be as hot!

Just missed it last year

We arrived on May 23 and were there through the 30th. We only had two big storms. One night at EPCOT for about 30 minutes it rained sideways while we hunkered down in Mexico and one day it kept us out of the pool but the rest of the week was really pretty nice. Hope this year is much better for those of you who got poured on last year. We will be in the world June 5 through 12 and will expect the usual summer afternoon storm hopefully not any all day rain. When it is raining at WDW you just have to keep truckin and make the best of it.

Dh and I spent our honeymoon at WDW last year from April 27th to May 11th. It was our first trip to the World and we had chosen that time of year because, coming from chilly and rainy Northern Germany, I can't stand heat really well so I thought we'de be fine then, and I was actually looking forward to some rainy stormy Florida afternoons. Boy, were we to be surprised!!

It was burning hot almost the whole time, there was nothing but sunshine sunshine sunshine, only one (!) brief shower during those 15 days, and that one was at night. I almost died from the heat

Then a few weeks later I read here on the DIS what had happened to the weather almost immediately after we left, and I could not believe it at all - what an enormous contrast to what we had experienced! Sounded like a different place altogether

Now, going for the second time this October and seriously hoping for some rain. Not torrents of it, if possible, but please not another heat wave like last May!

We were in WDW May 2 - 9 last year and it didn't rain at all. We'll be from April 28 - May 4 this year and I'm hoping that we'll have the same luck.
