A friend of mine just told me about something she saw on tv that talked about how absolutely nasty it is to leave your toothbrush uncovered in the bathroom unless you close the lid to the toilet. Something about all the thousand of nasty invisible particles floating in the air from the force of the flush, if you get what I mean. At home, they stay in the cabinet. But I am going to buy toothbrush covers for my trip now....

We got these to try for our trip. Used them at home for a few days and seemed to work fine, the kids had no problem with them. I bought ours on ebay for about $8 for 5 of them incl. shipping. I wanted 5 different colors for us.
They fit all of our toothbrushes and acts as the toothbrush cover and the holder.

Last trip I put our toothbrushes in a cup by the sink and mousekeeping took them out and laid them on a washcloth on the counter.
