Verizon Disney Mobile App, anyone use it?
Just got my "your family trip is almost here" email, and read the link about the Verizon app for your phone so you can get wait times for rides. Anyone use it? Is it worth it? How accurate are the wait times? Looks like it is only for Verizon customers though. Here is what it says:
Disney Parks Mobile Get real-time updates, Attraction wait times, find your favorite Characters, receive exclusive offers and more on your mobile phone during your upcoming vacation. Visit disneyparks.com/mobile to learn more. |

We used it on Feb 17th. DH and I were driving home to Seattle from Miami as part of a business trip. We had one park day so we decided to see if we could do all 4 parks in one day! DH had the app on his phone and it was amazing! The wait times were right on. The only downside we found was that if we were in one park we could not see the exact wait times in another. It would say approximate times but not exact times. We were able to do one major ride and one minor ride in each park in high season! Not only was it really helpful it was also fun to play with!

Used it on our last trip. Did a post about it.
All I can say is "priceless." No need to pull out a park map and stop having to look for info. While we waited in line for a ride, I'd pull it out and plan what to do next. Data is up to date in real time. |

I just pulled it up on my Sprint phone and it works like a charm! Has wait times coded by "High Demand", "See Now" and "Moderate". Also a neat feature which shows what attractions are out of Fastpasses for the day...so you know before you walk all the way to Soarin' from France that they are all gone!! <---Definitely a time saver!! It also shows what attractions have limited Fastpasses available.
AND there is a handy dandy section for each park that shows you the time and location for various characters! OK...can you tell I am excited about this?!?! We don't need no stinkin' iPhones! LOL! |

Hmmm, I may have to reactivate one of my old phones to use this when we go down in Dec. It won't work on any of our active phones.

I haven't gone looking at the Android Market yet, but does anyone out there have any insight into Android WDW apps? I need to go look and see what's in the Market but haven't had the time. Also, any insight warmly welcomed, as I'm a new Droid owner and there seem to be a bazillion apps out there.

Android Market does not have anything like this. I have a droid and my DH has a ENV Touch and the Disneyworld app worked on his phone and was not available on mine.
When your in the parks the wait times are the exact number instead of the estimate.
