Hows traffic from Palm Springs to DLR weekday mornings?

We're planning on stopping for the night in the Indio or Palm Springs area along I-10 and continuing on to Disneyland on a wed. morning. Hows Rush Hour traffic? Any suggestions on best route to avoid typical morning jams heading west bound?

Choices I see are:

1: I-10 to 60 to 91 to 57
2: I-10 to 215 to 91 to 57
3: I-10 to 57
4: I-10 to 60 to 57

Yeah, that's not the best direction to be going in the morning. What time are you thinking? I drive from the 10 (about an hour and 15 min west of palm springs) over to Orange (city next to anaheim) twice a week and the traffic isn't bad when i leave around 9:30. I have left around 8:30 and traffic is tolerable if I'm in the carpool lane. I've also left around 6am and the traffic isn't bad yet.

I had heard that the 10 to 15 to 60 to 57 was a good way but i tried it the opposite direction last week and it wasn't any better than going through corona (the 91). Fyi, to many people Corona = traffic so you might want to avoid it, although I personally drive through it because that route is easier for me. I actually take the 10 to 215 to 91 to 55 to 22 to 5 to get to DLR. I know some people might think that is a crazy route but it's only one mile longer than the other ways and it's what i'm comfortable with. Plus, i like getting to DLR via the 5 because i like to stay on the freeway as much as possible. I hate driving around too much on the surface streets around there because it seems like it takes too long to get to DLR.

Hopefully that didn't make you more confused.

I would recommend:

1: I-10 to 60 to 91 to 57

I wouldn't arrive in Riverside until 9am at the earliest. You'll be at the parks by 9:45am. Close enough!
