We're a family of 5 too

we're staying at POP. 3 kids in one room get the free stuff. Another room for 1 adult. Hoping for connecting.

I would think the rooms that hold more than 4 will still qualify. I would certainly try!!!!

Park tickets

It states tickets are for one theme park per day, I'm guessing that does not include the hopper. Does anyone know if that can be upgraded and how much?

Thanks
Donna

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know, could I upgrade to a moderate (and pay the difference) and upgrade to 6 nights instead of 4 (and pay the difference)? Also, if I can do this, would I pay rack rate for the "difference"?

Also, does anyone know the cost of upgrading to the regular dining plan?

Thanks!

You're paying full-price for the room to get the kids tickets and dining free.

To upgrade to regular dining you'll pay the difference.

Quick Service is usually 31.99 per adult; 9.99 kids 9 and under.

Plus Dining (non peak times) is 41.99 adults, 11.99 kids. Peak time increase to 46.99 adults,12.99 kids.

During this promotion time all dates through June 4 are non-peak. Then I think it goes up to the peak prices.

So, for example, before June 4 you would pay an extra $10/night/ adult and an extra $2 per child to upgrade to plus dining.

From Mousesavers.com:

Disney Rewards Visa Kids Stay, Play and Dine FREE Package
Disney Rewards Visa cardholders can take advantage of an exclusive offer for stays most nights March 14 - August 14, 2010. When you purchase a 4-night/5-day Magic Your Way vacation package that includes room, theme park tickets and the Quick-Service Dining Plan, a child (ages 3-9) can stay, get 5-day theme park tickets and the Quick-Service Dining Plan for FREE!

Note that children ages 3-9 normally stay for free in the same room with their parents, so that is no savings. However, the savings on theme park tickets and the dining plan can be substantial, particularly if you have two adults and two children in the correct age range.

You must book by 4/24/10. The number of packages available at this rate is limited. Child must stay in room with adult. Tickets are for one theme park per day and must be used within 14 days of first use. Maximum of four guests per room.

No group rates or other discounts apply. Offers cannot be combined and are nontransferable. Children ages 3-9 must order from the children's menu where available. Advance reservations required. Deposit must be made at the time of booking with your Disney Rewards Visa credit card or Disney Rewards debit card.

Thanks to Small World Vacations for info.

Thanks for the good info PoohFriend.

Since we'd like to stay six nights, would I then have to pay rack rate on everything for the extra two nights? If so, would I be prohibited from using the 35 percent off room-only discount for the remaining two days? Essentially booking two separate reservations back-to-back?

Thanks again.

You'd have to book two seperate reservations, one a package for the 4 nights that would give you the dining and tickets etc and you pay rack rate for the room, the other would have to be a room only, you wouldn't need to buy tickets and you couldn't have the dining plan on that portion of the trip. You would have to check out and check back into your room on the day one reservation ran out and the other began. Theres a chance you wouldn't keep the same room but I've never had that happen to me. You'll want the "package" portion of the trip 1st so that you can get your tickets when you check in. Your meal credits will still be active on the day you check out of your package reservation but not after that so you will have 2 days without the dining plan. I actually like doing it this way. If there are meals I want to do that don't fit into the structure of the meal plan or don't maximize its value I do it on the days after my meal plan is gone.
