Sling/shoulder bag or fanny pack

Okay, the last trip to the World I used a Baggalini bag...and it was fine, but it got a little heavy on my shoulder at times. I'm now considering the dreaded fanny pack.

So which is better? If you use a fanny pack, what do you carry in it? Is it comfortable? Do you have to take it off for rides? Which one is best?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I use a fanny pack dont have to take it off for rides. Items in fanny pack-wallet(moneyand tickets) aspirin , bandaids, poncho, sunglasses, camera. I now like to use cargo shorts can keep everything in them and don't have to wait for baggage check can go right thru. Sure saves time.

Dh usually carries a fanny pack. It has his wallet, tylenol/bandaids/tums, mini sunblock, 2 disposable ponchos, and if we bring it this year, my epi-pen (new for this trip).
