It's a separate piece that fits back into the cake made completely of sugar (my husband tested all of it). They used little LEDs to light it up:

The top and bottom were almond cake w/ amaretto, the middle layer had tropical mousse.
I love your cake!!!!

My cake was inspired from Summer's cake here on the board so it may look familar to some of you. I simply loved it! Oh and its all buttercream bc I didn't want fondant.
BTW: Thanks Summer for the inspiration!

I love both of these cakes. Can I ask how much they were?

Thanks!

I can't believe I never posted a picture of our cake from our vow renewal! We were going for a fall/Tim Burton theme. Top layer was chocolate cake with buttercream filling, and the bottom layer was marble cake with chocolate filling. The cost was $450 and it fed 50 people.

For the cake tasting do they ask you before hand what fillings you want to try out?

They didn't ask me but i've heard of other brides requesting specific flavors they wanted to try. Ohterwise i believe you just try the standard fillings and cakes. That's what happened at my PS.
