As far as a purchase, there are two thoughts, one is to buy where you want to stay.
The other is to buy where you can get the most points.

When you own points at a resort you have booking privileges 11 months out. You can book at the other resorts at 7 months out. So there may not be availability. That is the advantage of ownership. Sometimes though it's not a big deal.

The larger resorts like Old Key West and Saratoga Springs almost always have availability.

Then there is deciding if you want to buy directly from Disney or from resale. I say buy resale. Your money will go much farther...

I'm definitely thinking December 2011 (maybe 2010). I've spent the afternoon on the phone with a DVC guide and and most likely going to buy. I may wait until the August trip though. I'd love to see both AKV and BLT to see where I'd like to buy. Is it possible to arrange a tour? I also need time to decide how many points to purchase. Right now, I'm thinking at least 200.

There are no plans for her to join us anytime soon....
She was cranky when we took her in 2006 as well.....
I suggest you look into resales...
You can buy into any resort that way and points are much less expensive!
You have all the same perks as buying from Disney.
You just get more for you money.
I wish you were going to be there when we are there. You could see a few resorts that way.
By looking with DVC you can see both mock ups of AKV and BLT they have them at the sales office at Saratoga Springs. That's where you take the tour. We have purchased from Disney and from Timeshare Store. Both offer financing.

I realized that I had already looked through the Cupcake pink when I was looking for the green and there wasn't any there the other day either. Maybe by Christmas 2011....

No, I don't think they take you to the resorts...
I have no clue about Long Island, you should check that out!

Let's just say, nothing compares to the walk from Beach Club to World Showcase or Hollywood Studios, or the monorail from BLT to Epcot or walk to Magic Kingdom. The bus to Animal Kingdom from Kidani is very short but the rest was a bit of a haul...
Honestly I really just prefer the Epcot resorts.

I will Vera enable too. Our Vera Bradley store (yes store) has the prints for Fall 2010 in right now. It is a test store, limited product. I am pretty much a big sale only... no new pattern girl. But I must say I love the new purplish plum like pattern for fall. In fact I loved them all. I wish I could find a pic online... and since I have three kids I doubt I will get back to the mall before they are put away till the line comes out - darn I should have taken a pic!

So CP you will just have to see what great patterns they have by 2011!
