Doesn't make much sense to me, b/c I am pretty sure that at the Chef's Table, the wine pairings are an optional add-on charge. I also dislike the seating times at V&A (either very early, around 530, or very late, around 830 or 845). I am just kind of disappointed overall with V&A right now - it appears that they launched the new website without really figuring out the details of the Queen Victoria room, or making sure the website was correct, or that the reservation staff knew what was going on. Plus, they apparently have not changed the menu at ALL since early December. For a restaurant that supposedly serves seasonal foods, selected on a daily basis by the chef....not impressive.

ETA - I see that it's already been addressed. I missed the discussion when I was replying. :

Queen Victoria's Room at V&A is for real!
This is so cool! I was hoping it wouldn't be just a myth. Now I just have to figure out what I'm ordering... and how we're paying for it...

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing - about half those courses I've already tried in the main dining room. I guess I was expecting them to serve something different.

Same here, you can already get the chef's menu in the regular dining room, so Im' not sure why getting it in this new room make it worth that much more.

Hm. It looks like the main difference is, there is somewhat more tableside preparation with Vicky's Room - so you get a little entertainment, yet it's more intimate than going for the Chef's Table.
However, I would NEVER pay that much just to see somebody flambe something that I could get more affordably just a room over. I think this is a case of Disney expecting people to pay more for perceived exclusivity (which, of course, some will). If they were going to go through all the hassle of creating a new level of dining, I do wish they'd also done a different menu. |

It seems that just about everything on that menu is on the menu I just had in October. I was hoping there were a few new original items.

But if you have to eat at 5:30pm, that throws the whole day off, halfway between lunch and dinner.
