At update from the sick kid at home:
First, I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes. It was nice to read them when I got to the computer. Otherwise,
I'M BORED OUT OF MY MIND! My instructions have been to do nothing and keep my foot elevated (and take lots of antibiotics). My custom-made foot elevator (an ottoman, two cardboard boxes and two pillows) is serving me well.
7 a.m. tomorrow, the doctor will reexamine me and let me know if I should travel. If so, I'll try to catch the one air tran flight out of Allentown and join Lois at WDW. We'll see how it goes.

I do have to listen to a DJ we know on wnti-fm (streaming live at wnti.org). He promised to play Lois and me a song between 8 and 10 a.m. Hopefully, Lois will be listening too.

Hi Honey and Everyone!

I've got my computer up and running so I can listen to WNTI streaming tomorrow morning. I'm hoping for a really good doctor report tomorrow!

The weather has been perfect for visiting the parks.

We had an adventure this morning - we went to the Animal Kingdom and quickly went to Expedition Everest. The line was short so we fast-passed and got on the line, got on the ride, got half-way up the first incline! and stopped. The young man next to me was looking up the track and could see something coming, I'm thinking maybe the handrails and was saying, this isn't good - and then the announcement came that workers were going to come and we had to evacuate! Sure enough, we turned around and looked back down the tracks and 3 CMs were on their way up to get us. Row by row, starting at the front, they got us out, walked back down the tracks and around and back to the beginning. They did give us fast-passes good till Sunday. We went back later, and rode it twice! Love it (:

Also went to see It's Tough to be a Bug and - again- got to the doors, and due to something technical, were advised to turn around and leave (no fast passes there). We decided that perhaps it was an, mmmm - maybe biological fluid - uh - issue. We went back later and did that too, also did the Safari at ate at Tusker House - which was fabulous!!

Tonight we did the Hoop Dee Doo. Tomorrow Joanne (ds) and Joey (d b-i-l) will be going to the studios while I'll be waiting to hear from Greg.

I'll be back tomorrow,

I'm good to go
Still have to take it easy and elevate my foot as much as possible but I'm much improved. Frankly, I don't care if I sit on the balcony all day. It's 27 lonely degrees here. Things have got to be better at WDW.
Once again, thanks for the support everyone.

Great news! I've had cellulitis twice and ended up on IV antibiotics both times - the second time I was in the hospital for 6 days with it.

So my advice is do what the doctor told you and don't overdo it. Also keep taking the antibiotics.

I know how rotten it is.

Have a great time!!!

All of our guests are gone now, it's just Greg and me. Greg hasn't been out much, mostly resting and taking it easy. Yesterday morning we went to AK, did not have all the adventures of the first visit. rode Everest, the Safari and Tough to be a Bug without any problem. Back to the hotel. My son in law had to participate in a conference call, then they took a nap (I envy their ability to take naps). I went to the DVC pool, went in the hot tub. Sat around, walked over to the Beach Club quiet pool, went in the hot top, back to BCV - watched Dr. Phil (something I don't normally get to do). Basically had no one to play with and was kinda bored.

Eventually the family all came back to life and we had a scrumptious dinner at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse - and I had my fave - a "Glowtini"

We're planning on Jiko for dinner and if possible, I'd like to see the Osborne lights.

And weather-wise - it looks quite nice out. Hopefully we'll be lucky and the forcasted rain and thunderstorms from Ida will stay away for both today and our flight home tomorrow.

I'll be back!

Lois

wish we met Kathy like Nikki did (:

or Teresa - we're STILL here! Greg's wearing a boot - I think Bawb's was blue, Greg's is black.

My sister (a nurse) gave us the name of an infectious disease specialist - we'll work on that once we get home.

Be talkin to ya!

I'd much rather be bored at BCV than at home! Any day!

Blue Glowtini- that my favorite drink too! Love the blue ice cube! Only 26 more days until I get to have one again!

Enjoy your time left!
