I don't remember the exact numbers but it's a standard size pool in terms of how deep it is.

Thanks to all of you about the depth of the pool. I can't swim and just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a true deep part like SAB. Now that's a scary. Love my one little cove that I found there.

Can someone please point me to the right direction for the chocolate monorail that gets delivered to your room? I thought previously I had seen it on the front page but now I can't find it I would like to order them to go into my parents and my aunt/uncles room for our trip at the end of the month. TIA!

I got one in July. I was told I had to call 48 hrs ahead, but when I called, they told me no. So I called on the day I wanted it. Call Private Dining and tell them your room number nad time you want it. I had mine put in the room while we were out as a surprise for DH. He loved it. It's not chocolate, though--it's white. I think it was about $40?? (Of course I just tossed all my trip receipts.) I can't remember exactly, though.

Hi, we just got back from a wonderful stay at the CR. Now I know why "CRfan4life" is a CR fan for life! We had a MK view room on the 7th floor away from Chef Mickey's. It was quiet & the view was like no other. That is THE BEST view on property IMHO. I kept the drapes open all night & watched the castle change color. I could not sleep!!! We watched Hallowishes from our balcony twice & the music is piped in on channel 20 (the CR channel). Being in the tower & going down 3 floors to the monorail was super convenient. Contempo Cafe was great for breakfast.

My kids loved the bathroom, they thought it was so cool. Only complaint was housekeeping. (terrible) That was the only downside but everything else was great.

We stayed at the CR on Halloween & enjoyed the pool. They had Halloween crafts & games for the kids. They had "Race to Witch Mountain" playing that night on the beach. CR also offered trick or treating at the shops & in the lobby which was fun.

I am hoping I can get some help from all you. I have my First trip planner for Jan 29th- Feb 13th 2010. We are staying 10 day at a house and have decided to stay 5 days on the resort. I booked at the contemporary because we have a Little 4 year old girl and want to be close to MK. I was able to get all my reservations and I was all excited but now I am officially doubting myself. Her is my dilemma:

We have a Garden Wing Room. I have read in all these forms that they are like 5 minute walking distance to the tower, then another 5 minutes to the Monorail, Chef Mickey's and Stores. One Pro is does have is being close to the Pool. But honestly, we probably won't be in the pool that much since we are staying on the resort just to enjoy the Parks and the experience.( plus the house we would have had for the 10 days has its own pool and we might be water logged..hahaha) Anyways, my questions to you are:

1.) Is the garden rooms really that inconvenient?

2.) If we decided to upgrade to the tower, what type of room is best without breaking the budget?

3.) what room types and numbers did you all stay at and how did you like it?

4.) if we stayed in the tower, what rooms are not to noisy?? any ideas?

For those of you who have gotten the monorail dessert before...

was it worth it for you? Did you look at it and think or ?

DH's birthday is on Thanksgiving, and we will be eating at Teppan Edo that evening. We are on the dining plan, so everyone in our group will have a dessert. I'm sure that the desserts at Teppan Edo are delicious, but they are somewhat limited. I am considering bringing a bottle of champagne and ordering a chocolate monorail to enjoy during Wishes. We will have 8 people, so it really would just be a bite for everyone.

Would my $40 be better spent on a beautiful cake? Or is the cool factor of the monorail that great?

I can't answer the last three questions but having stayed in the garden wing, i would never say they are inconvenient. I shared your concern before I went, but the concern was groundless. We had the room furthest from the tower and the walking distance was never an issue.

I agree that the Garden wing was not inconvenient. I wouldn't say it was a 5min walk to the tower, either. However, I've never stayed in a tower room, so I can't compare the two.

We stayed about 1/2 way down the garden wing, room 5242. It was a 2nd floor room, which was fine as it was July and we wouldn't have spent time on the balcony much anyway.

The monorail dessert--It was good, but not fabulous. I got it for DH in place of a bday cake. IMO, ordering a bday cake was a huge PITA, so I went with this. Plus, there's no way the 4 of us were going to eat a whole cake, and any cake, aside from a podium cake (that you order at the restaurant's podium), was waaay more than $40. I am not a huge fan of white chocolate. I like real chocolate. My DH and kids loved it, though, and the truffles served with it were very yummy. It was more of a novelty thing for us.

Each time I have walked towards the Garden Wing building it took 5 minutes or less both ways, which is not bad at all.

The least expensive rooms in the Tower is the Bay Lake View, because they are always $40.00 less then what the Magic Kingdom View costs.

Well if you get an odd numbered room in a Bay Lake View your beds would be able to see Epcot way in the distance.

If noise is a factor request a room away from Chef Mickey's on the opposite side.
