One of C's two teacher's is in the hospital with the H1N1 virus. They expect her to be out at least 3 more weeks. She was out last week too. She's recovering from cancer, so I'm sure her body's just not as strong as a healthy person's.

I don't put out our decorations until a week or so before Halloween. That's becasue I do more of a fall theme than a Halloween them and they stay up until the day after Thanksgiving. WE put the CHristmas decorations up then!

Has any one seen Cloudy with a CHance of Meatballs yet? We are thinking of going to see it this weekend. But can't decide between that and the Toy Story Double feature in 3-D.

Thanks! Did she really? I’m so sorry about her MS – I hope she is doing okay. My FIL had MS, although he managed it very well and really had a good quality of life – I hope your mom will continue to also.

Haven’t seen the movie yet but it was my favorite book to read to Ariel when she was little. She still has it and really wants to see the movie. I may take her and DGS Rick on Sunday.

First week back was CRAZY!

Saturday I went over to Murph's, Sunday I was at the Jet game (in the rain)

I actually was off yesterday and got busy with stuff in the morning and then started getting sick. I'm full blown with chills and body aches now. I had back to back meetings most of the day today so I am working from home and just calling into them and monitoring emails. My next meeting was just canceled so I'm free until 2pm.

Dawn - glad the kids are adjusting, but too bad about not being able to have family watch them

Dawn, I'm sorry it has been so tough but it sounds like you're on the right track.

Not much up here. I went to the grocery and the library this morning, and that's been about it - done some minor cleaning and so forth, but mostly vegging. The boys have tennis later, so I'll work out then, after an eyebrow wax.

I'm now having a Book Fair meeting here with my co-chair tomorrow, so I definitely need to keep doing the minor cleaning. We got a bunch of info from the former chairs, so it's a good meeting, but...

He felt the topical treatment should have worked faster than it has been and he hopes this will speed things up. Mel...I can really commisserate with now honey

He only did the left eye becasue a) the right is really good and b) he wants to be able to measure one against the other. He does say that I should be able to drive soon though

Waiting for Jim and Jimmy to get home. Having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight, so that's an easy thing. I will start cooking when they get home.

I forgot to tell you all that the doctor changes Jimmy's ADHD medication to Vyvanse. IT is basically the same medication, just a longer acting medication. We started it this weekend, but today will be the real test since it is first day at school with it. We will see how things go!

The boys had fun at tennis and I did a nice workout, so that's good. Woody's showered and is now doing homework - Buzz is currently in the shower and will have to do the homework when he gets done. Then we'll have to do our "math triangles" - which I am cranky about because I have to be involved. Just kidding, but it is kind of funny how finding 6 minutes to sit still becomes hard at this time of the night.

I did my workout, but now feel wheezy, so I don't think my cold is cured yet.

I'll likely check back later, as I'm on my own all week.

I hope it helps your eyes though, Janet. I've been thinking about you alot lately. I wish there was something I could do to help.

This is as good a time as any to let you guys know what's up with my eye. I really didn't want to think or talk about it at all before my trip. I really needed to get away and have some fun.

When I saw Dr. Seigle at the end of August he said that the pressure in my right eye was AGAIN up. I think it was near 30. He needled it and told me to return in a week. I did and the pressure was still at 28. He's decided to implant yet another tube through the eye. This time, it will go through the bottom of my eye, near the tear duct. Apparently, the one he installed above my iris last year keeps healing over with scar tissue and he can't do anything else with it.

I'm sure you can imagine that I'm pretty scared about doing this. I actually told him (and NotBob) that I wouldn't have the surgery. I don't want to keep going through the surgery and recovery. It's hell. It's hell and it doesn't ever seem to work, which makes me NOT want to keep doing it! Unfortunately, Dr. Seigle wasn't hearing that. He's stubborn, that man.

So, I told him "fine", but not until vacation is over. Well, it's over. I am having the surgery on October 5th. The check up is the 6th. Oh, and the other part of the bad news is that he's replacing my lens also as soon as the tube incision is healed partially because I have a cataract obscurring my vision also.

I know you all will be here for me emotionally so I'm saying thanks now. You guys really make this stuff easier to bear.

Yep, it was one of the things she was really sad about giving up when she was diagnosed. Her case of MS is not too bad. She was diagnosed back in 2001 and has not worsened since then. Her main issue are with fine motor functions which is why she had to stop knitting/sewing/quilting and sometimes humidity can cause her nerves to cause her a lot of pain. Most of the time though you would not even know she had it.

Janet - Sorry you are once again delayed going back to work and that your eye had to get needled.

I wrote my first Bio Test this morning and I already got my mark back, I got an A! I am pleased with the mark although I am disappointed it was not a perfect 100% Maybe on the next test! I was talking to some of my classmates after the test and they were all complaining about how hard it was.... It covered the most basic of topics in Biology, this is as easy as it is going to get. I have to wonder how they are going to handle the next couple of years if they can't even pass the simplest of Biology tests with a decent mark....

In other good news my awful cold from the weekend is almost gone, I can breathe again which is a blessing.
